Spring Fling Prerun 3
Sorry, Slow to load.
These are the photos of our 3rd prerun for the George Washington National Forest Spring Fling.
This trip we ran Dry River Run, Dictum Ridge, and Old Long Run trail again. Dry river run was not challenging at all.
Dictum had the most challenging obstacle we have found.
This is the only place that was a little tricky on Dry River Run. You can't really tell
from the photo, but this is a tight switch back to the left and on your left
is a steep drop off. You can't see it, but Eric has that "Oh S##T" look on his face. This is the point where
your rear end starts sliding to the left. You just have to give it some extra gas and hang on.
Here is Wayne on the same spot.
Here is Bill doing it on the way down. His short TJ made the switch back look easy.
Here's Matt on the switch back.
This is the one difficult obstacle on Dictum Ridge Trail. It's hard to
tell from the photo, but you have a rock stir step.
Here Eric's bumper is less than 1" from that tree. He did slightly rub the fender flare.
This is Eric's front diff after kissing the rock.
Here is Bill on Dictum. He did rub his hard top a little on the tree.
Here's Matt, getting up Dictum.
RUN FOR IT! Not really, I'm just moving to the next spotting location.
Here I am starting the ledge on Dictum.
Watch out for that tree! No problem.
This is Audrey, my better half. She decide to let me take the pictures. I married a Jeep Chic!
Ya it was fun, but the GWNF SF should be even more fun!
