1960s ~ Jeremy Kay began as a Commercial Illustrator/Muralist at age 16, attended Kent State University & CalSUN, and finished with Graduate Degrees (cum laude) in History, Fine Art & Motion Picture Direction/Technique. He then became a Playwrite & Novelist.

1960s ~ In Hollywood, Jeremy was TV Art Director for The STEVE ALLEN SHOW, (first Video-taped TV Show), and for the next 6 years was Writer & Art Director for CBS & ABC Networks (with thousands of daily/weekly TV series episodes & Network TV shows) including MEL BLANC ~ The SMOTHERS BROTHERS ~ LAUGH-IN ~ IN SEARCH OF ... ~ The JERRY LEWIS SHOW and many others. As Comedy Writer, Jeremy Kay created & illustrated the million seller:
Original POLISH JOKE Book (1967), which began an international fad & subsequently the original Light Bulb & Ladder Jokes.

1970s ~ Over the next decade Jeremy Directed, Designed & Produced (hundreds of) TV commercials and (dozens of) MOVIE FEATURES until he landed EASY RIDER & later The STAR WARS. As Production Designer, he created the original EASY RIDER (1969) Harley Davidson Motorcycle chopper designs (with Hell’s Angels), and designed the Bikers’ (Fonda & Hopper) classic costumes ~

Member: Director’s Guild of America (DGA) & Writer’s Guild (WGA).

Late 1970s ~ As the (American) Motion Picture Production Designer, for the original (Universal Studios)
The STAR WARS (1975*), Jeremy conceived & designed the original “Wizard of Oz” storyline concept and the space-Oz like character, which included the innovative design for a clever R2D2 Robot Dog (RD) character named “ToTo” (or two-two, 2+2) = R2D2 who “bark talked.” Jeremy’s R2D2, Robot Dog was replaced by a vacuum cleaner.

1980s ~ Jeremy then accepted a position as Professor of ART HISTORY & MOTION PICTURE TECHNIQUES ~ at USC, Univ. So. Cal. During this time he also wrote & directed (hundreds of) TV ANIMATION & Network/Syndicated TV shows & commercials, most notably the popular cartoon series CATILLAC CATS ~ plus dozens of MUSIC VIDEOS.

1990s ~ Jeremy became Director/Curator for The American Museum of CARTOON ART. and the 20th Century POP Graphic Archives, both California non-profit educational corporations (est. 1976) which contains over 750,000 original & printed items from 1640 AD to the present. These have appropriately become the Graphic Source for clever new web sites.

Other Published Works ~
The Secret Laboratory Journal of Dr. VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, 1816-1820. (Overlook/Viking Penguin Books, NYC, 1996 & 1999). An illustrated fantasy-horror book described as “inspired,” & “The ultimate companion to the world’s most enduring and horrific Gothic novel!” ~ hard cover & trade paperback. ISBN 0879515112 ~ Jeremy Kay has had 15 books published since 1976*

2000s ~ Currently, Jeremy continues to write new books & novels, maintains various web sites and manages
AQUA~LION Cinema Productions where he seeks Limited Partners with Venture Capital to produce a new series of exciting and unique books, movies, TV and Internet/Media projects.
