Hello, my name is Julie Mason and I live in the North East of England.

I have been researching my family history, including all the villages and towns associated with each ancestor for many years.

My Mason surname orginates from Stradbrooke in Suffolk. On May 19th 1791, Frederick Mason married Elizabeth Garrod in Stradbrook and I am a direct descendent of Frederick. Through the generations the Mason's of Suffolk moved North up England when my grandfather joined the 21st Battalion of the Kings Royal Rifles for the First World War.

The Jennings surname orginates from Staffordshire. On November 12th 1808 William Jennings married Martha Biddulph and it is from this marriage that the other main surname in my family history begins.

I am a descendent of Oliver Barre born in 1560 in a small village called Hawnby in North Yorkshire.
