Are They There
Who is to say He is really here?
Does He hear our calls with His ears?
Does He have anything to do with the course our lives take?
Or does he just wait for us to break.
He watches all from His palace in Heaven,
But does He pay attention to all
or just those who give Him their attributes of seven.
Does He care for us, or is it us who care for Him.
These questions I cannot answer on my own whims.
They say we were created in His own image,
But is this true or just the myths of a by-gone age.
If truth it be, then why is our mind so complex and troubled,
No, you can't blame it all on the Devil
for he knows of nothing but mindless baubles.
If you think me mad for these questions,
then tis you who are mad.
I'm but just a person asking honest questions
and doing nothing blasphemous or bad.
I only want answers on this,
But nobody can give them to me without getting pissed.
If there are any beings of power,
then I'd really like to know,
So that I can end my trail of great sorrow.
