NOTES FROM MEETING ON SPIRITUAL MAPPING WITH GEORGE OTIS JR.

*PLEASE NOTE! THESE ARE NOT QUOTES FROM GEORGE OTIS JR. BUT NOTES FROM A SESSION WITH HIM AS THE SPEAKER!

The very first people who came to the virgin lands of the USA were the people we know today as Native Americans. What were their covenants? Who did they worship? What heals hurts? Time? NO! Repentance heals and forgiveness heals. We cannot establish a habitation for the Lord without repentance. So, what happened in the Pacific Northwest 5000 years ago?

After the flood, God gave the people a second chance, a new beginning for the people but it didn’t happen. The second judgment was at Babel. When the First Peoples came to America, they found this to be a virgin continent. There were no abortion clinics, no gay pride parades. They had a chance for a new beginning here. But the ambitions of God were not realized in this virgin land. Therefore, our role here today is to re-welcome the presence of God to the Pacific Northwest so God can fulfill His desires for this land. Regional transformations are happening in the Arctic between E. Siberia and the Baffin Islands, including Quebec and Alaska. So prepare for what is about to come! 70% conversion rates are being realized in the last three years. Many are Eskimo and other Native peoples. Baffin Is. (west of Greenland) is one of the first lands in North America that acknowledged Christians set foot, even before Plymouth Rock. Discovered in the 1960’s, there were Christian symbols and other artifacts found dating back to 1000 AD. Seventy years ago, there was a prophesy about revival to come. And so about three years ago in Antioch, AK, a revival began.

There are three major and now one more newly discovered groups who came to America before Columbus. 1) Amarin, 2) Athabaskan, 3) Eskimo-Aliut, 4) Kennewick man. New information dates Kennewick man as 9300 years old and dating back to 7300 BC. He may have been here before the flood and was judged with everyone else or he came after the flood. Kennewick man does not seem to be Native American Indian nor is he of European descent. He may have possibly come from N. Japan by boat before others. Most later groups came down the Old Northern Trail which is the Rocky Mountains area. Their first homeland was S. Alberta, CANADA. S. Alberta is very significant. This is where they made covenants with gods and each other. People lingered there. And this has a direct bearing on our area. Salish people in our area were originally from the Blackfoot tribe which originated in S. Alberta. What did they worship? The Old N. Trail was a spiritual journey to them. The petroglyphs show us what happened in their churches thousands of years ago. There were trances, deities and rituals depicted. Some of the first peoples offended God by their covenants with false gods. They violated the first commandment. And so the presence of God was repelled by these people and the areas were replaced by demonic gods.

We must get to the root of the problem. It is not that He hasn’t visited us but we want Him to come and stay and habitate with us. If that is to happen then we must get down to the root issues of the indigenous peoples. Ours are Native Americans, not all are in other nations. After the Native Americans came the immigrants from Europe and other nations. So there are layer after layer of civilizations and their sins and covenants we must deal with. We usually only deal with the capstone layer in our spiritual archeological excavations. But we must get down to the bottom layer, which is the Native Peoples. We may be living on an altar of offense here in the Pacific NW.

In the USA, there are three corridors or trails where first peoples came and settled. 1) Pacific NW, 2) Mississippi Valley 3) Atlantic area. In these areas there is more abortion, crime, prostitution, poverty, racists, cults and orphans than in other areas. We need discernment concerning the defiling of the land. Where there were altars of offense, the land has been defiled. The land stops serving the people. Instead the people serve the land. When these altars are torn down, God touches the people and the land and the land begins serving the people. There were also altars of honor where some Native Peoples were true prophets and intercessors. Some were called prophets and NOT Shamans. The Iroquois had some early John the Baptists who defiled the altars of offense and restored the altars of honor.

We each must identify with our own peoples and dismantle our layer, our altars of offense. We must come together and welcome God to come back. This is what has triggered major moves of God in the Arctic regions over the past three years.

We are now establishing "THE ANCIENT PATHWAY PROJECT" by establishing prayer walks through sites and doing the business that needs to be done for God. We are working on gateways, rally points, dealing with our past and welcoming God to come in. We will also be setting up monitoring teams to look for and report results.

You have heard of the floods in Mozambique and Zimbabwe. This is where the greatest amount of witch doctors in all of Africa live. There were recent prayer walks in Africa done by the native peoples. After that, the floods came to cleanse the land. The floods were judgment and also blessing to Africa. There were four shrines on a mountain all hit by lightening and burned up. The head witch doctor was also struck by lightening and killed. Spiritual witchcraft was obliterated. Now the church is growing and they are on the verge of revival.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMENTS BY JERRY SNYDER----- As I was in the meeting with George Otis, I was impressed by some of the answers I believe I received to some questions I have had. Questions like, "Why is the NW so unchurched, more so than any other region of the US? Why does the NW have such a collection of New Age, White Supremacist, drug culture, neo-paganism .....ad naseum? Why in this region and not so in other areas"?

George Otis brought out the fact that like attracts like, spiritually speaking. Many times the history of a region sets the tone for that region. The sins of the early inhabitants create an environment where demonic activity feels at home. Over time, this turns into a stronghold. Time will not fix the problem. There is no statute of limitations on sin. The only thing that erases sin is repentance and application of the blood Jesus shed at Calvary.

In the Old Testament, we see Daniel repenting for the sins committed by his forefathers. (Daniel 9) It was after this identificational repentance that he received the vision of the 70 weeks and that Israel was allowed to return and rebuild Jerusalem. We also see many of the good kings of Judah who cleansed the temple and tore down the idols, yet in most cases the "High Places" were not torn down and the revival was short-lived.

George's comment was that it was like pulling weeds. If you just pull off the tops the weed grows back, but if you pull up the roots the problem is fixed. Archeologists find that many cities have been built upon the ruins of previous cities. Sometimes as many as 5 or 6 cities have been built in layers on the same spot. So it is with the sins of previous generations. This is borne out by some of the transformations that have happened in other countries and cities...notably Almolongo (sp?) When they really cleaned house, not only did the spiritual atmosphere change, but the land itself became more productive. God actually healed the land (2Chron 7:14)

There is a balance we must find. We can get crazy with this concept and wind up being flaky. Or we can do research and find out what we can about the history of our region AND its indigenous peoples and then stand in the gap and repent for them and ask for God's forgiveness and mercy. There are also some "sacred" sights that may need to be visited and torn down in the spirit (as Gideon did in the natural) or even rebuilt.

An example of this is the recent crusaders walk of reconciliation where Christians walked over the route of the crusades and repented to the local peoples for the sins committed against them by the crusaders. They eventually wound up in Ephesus and did a "Greater is Jesus of Nazareth" to repudiate what was done in the book of Acts.....("great is Diana of the Ephesians").

There is merit in this approach. We see this played out in reconciliation meetings, whites with blacks, whites with reds, whites with Hispanics...

(hmmm seems to be a consistent "white" thread here...) I believe we are being called to stand in the gap as Daniel did in repenting for the sins of his fathers and that if we will do this, then we may see a real spiritual breakthrough in our region.

Some will say...Why us? The answer is quite simple. IF NOT ME, THEN WHO, IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN?

Somebody has to go first. Why not "Real Life International" (insert your church or ministry) ......thou mighty men of valor?! by Jerry Snyder May 20, 2000. ---COPYRIGHT BY JERRY & KAREN SNYDER
