Franz Kafka and Prague

His Family
His Working Life
His Isolation
His Relationships

Kafka found no more happiness in his personal relationships than he had in his work or family life.  He was engaged twice to Felice Bauer, but he found it very difficult to express his feelings towards her, and they finally split in 1917.

After he moved to Berlin, Kafka met a young Jewish socialist, Dora Dymant. Unfortunately, this relationship was terminated by his illness from tuberculosis and his death in 1924.
