God has appointed everyone of us a Guardian Angel to guard and guide us through life. He will always remain at your side. He will shield you amid the dangers of the world. They do not even abandon those who live in mortal sin. They also extend their guardianship to pagans, heretics, unbelievers and idolaters and spare no effort in bringing them to penance and reconciliation with God.
There are holy Angels who preside over every visible thing and over all different species of creatures in the world.
He will one day assist you when you enter into lifes last conflict. He will present your soul before God and plead your cause. If you require purification in the flames of Purgatory, your holy Angel will visit and console you. When your time of purification is done he will lead you to the kingdom of Heaven.
Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
To whom His love commits me here,
Ever this day (or night) be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen
PRAYER TO OUR GUARDIAN ANGEL

O MOST HOLY ANGEL of God, appointed by Him to be my guardian, I give thanks for all the benefits which thou hast ever bestowed on me in body and in soul. I praise and glorify thee that thou dost conndescend to assist me with such patient fidelity and to defend me against all the assults of my enemies. Blessed be the hour in which thou wast assigned to me for my guardian, my defender and my patron. In acknowledgment of and in return for all thy loving ministries to me from my youth up, I offer thee the infinitely precious and noble Heart of Jesus, and I firmly purpose to serve my God. Amen
