Came to America about 1630 with his wife, Ann, and setteled in Roxburry, near bridge. Freeman, May14, 1634. Dismissed to Braintree Church July 5, 1640. First Deacon of that church, which office he held for over 50 years. Representative to General Court for 12 years. Selectman and one of the prominent men in town so long as he was active. His wife died Sep. 5, 1693 ae. 93 at Braintree. He and Ann are both buried in the old cemetary at Quincy.spouse: Savell, Ann (1601 - 1653)
