The Erlenmeyer Flask

Mulder finds himself at a loss of words when he realizes he's just been caught in a whopping lie.

Scully:  You don't know that this isn't just a game with him.  He's toying with you, rationing out the facts.

Mulder:  You think he does it because he gets off on it?

Scully:  No.  I think he does it because you do.

So do I.  I don't get it.  Mulder, upon first meeting with Scully, accuses her of being a spy yet he's ready to climb mountains and fight dragons in order to chase after some obscure lead for Deep Throat.  Deep Throat clearly said that he'd give Mulder information when it suited him [Deep Throat.]  Furthermore, Deep Throat had admitted to lying to him.  What a Punk!

General Punkesque Behavior

Having learned nothing from the events in "E.B.E." Mulder expects Scully to follow him while running out to investigate a crime scene because Deep Throat called him and told him to watch Channel Eight.

Obviously, Mulder didn't have much of a plan when he went to the crime scene.  He should have at least have gotten himself some kind of cover story so he didn't get caught with his proverbial pants down.

Rolling his eyes when Scully mentioned that he really doesn't know anything about Deep Throat.  Very mature Punk!

When entering the attic at Dr. Berube's house, it probably would have been wise to have closed the attic door.  Mulder knew that the place was under surveillance.  Did it not occur to him that whoever was watching the place before was still around?

Another late night phone call.  And to deliver bad news at that.  Shame!  Shame!

Criminal Activity

Breaking and Entering:  Mulder.  Mulder.  Mulder.  When you enter someone's house without permission or a warrant it's called breaking and entering.  That's true even if the person in question is dead.  Tsk!  Tsk!  You really should know better.
