Scully: Is this seat taken? Mulder: No but I should warn you, I'm experiencing violent impulses Scully: Well I'm armed so I'll take my chances. |
Those violent impulses aren't the only thing Mulder seems to be experiencing. The Punkish ones seem to be out in full force. Mulder finally gets pulled from wiretap duty and what does he do? Rants about meaningless and jerk-off assignments without doing anything more than glance at the body. Mulder is his own worse enemy.
Assuming that the case was a jerk-off assignment without out doing any kind of investigation: What else did he have to do anyway listen to the inane prattle of the two dimwits he'd been listening in on?
Accusing Scully of talking to someone on his behalf behind his back. He should know better than that.
Storming into Skinner's office ranting and raving about being jerked from one meaningless assignment to another. No doubt after being dragged into the room with the other bigwigs to justify his assertions Mulder had much egg on his face.
Snorting at Skinner's reaction to his report: Is he trying to piss the man off?
