Mulder turns his back on a dangerous killer as he tries to get out of the rigged train car. I guess he forgot how resourceful the Syndicate can be.

Scully:  Look, Mulder, you've got to get them to stop that train so we can get you off of it.  They want you to tell the engineer to stop at the next station.

Mulder:  Why?

Scully:  So we can get a bomb squad out there and evacuate the train.

Mulder:  Uh, Scully, you're breaking up.  I can't hear you.

Typical.  Instead of saying "Scully I have my own idea" Mulder pretends he can't hear her and hangs up the phone!  What a Punk!  This is just a small step from an actual ditch.

General Punkesque Behavior

Lying to Scully about the connection breaking up because he didn't want to talk to her.  Way to weenie out of talking to your partner Punk!

In what can only be considered bad form, Mulder turns his back on the Red-Haired Man.  Now this man has killed several people.  Unless the man was hog-tied with chain why the bleep would Mulder do something as foolish as not facing him at all times.

Mulder never ceases to amaze me.  He looks at a journal written in Japanese and declares with all certainly that the journal had been rewritten.  All without the use of an interpreter.  How pray tell does Mulder know this?  Has he taken up Japanese between alien hunts?
