Why not Krycek?
Of all the characters on The X-Files I have to say that Krycek is my absolute favorite. I know what you're going to say, he's a traitor and a murderer. All this is true, but you won't find a more interesting character than Alex Krycek.
For starters, the man is HOT. Okay that sounds shallow but I'll admit that I'd forgive him almost anything if he looked at me the right way. It really ought to be against the law for a man to be that good looking. But that's not why he's my favorite.
Mulder is almost predictable. Granted he's a Punk and he treats his partner terribly and he has a tendency to run off with no warning he's still pretty much predictable. Whenever things get bad you know exactly what Mulder will try to do. Get to the bottom of it, try to shed light to that which is plunged into darkness. Krycek on the other hand is completely unpredictable. You don't know which side he's on. He's done things that are completely reprehensible but the reasoning behind it is a complete mystery. Does he do these things because he wants to, or because in the short run he feels it's a sacrifice for the greater good? It is a mystery that makes Krycek all the more appealing.
I guess all it boils down to is that I am simply not convinced that Krycek is evil. However, I do believe he is completely and utterly selfish and amoral and in order to ensure his survival he would do just about anything (or anyone as the case may be Marita Covarrubias? Yuck!) And if his survival means working on the side of good he'd do that as easily as he would work on the side of evil. I'm just waiting for him to stick yet another knife in what's left of the Consortium's back.
Wanna know who I think is truly evil? Not counting Cancerman who we all know is the devil? That Back-stabbing Fowley Bitch (TBFB) now there's someone I would LOVE to see Krycek kill and I'd be doing a happy dance when it happened. Although I think that Scully should have first dibs. That woman brings out the bloodlust in me. I don't much care how she dies, just as long as her head ends up on a pointy stick.
