Daughter of Thor. The dwarf Alvis ("All-wise") wanted to marry her, but Thor tricked him by engaging the dwarf in a riddle game. He was so engrossed with trying to beat Thor, he didn't watch the time.  The sun came up and Alvis was turned into stone.
