HISTORY

When Chuck Taine's parrent's were killed by Daxamites who were part of the fascist organization called the White Trangle, he used the insurance money he recieved to continue his architectual studies. After the Legion Headquarters was severely damaged durring an attack by Chronos, Chuck was brought in to oversee the repairs to the headquarters. At first the Legionnaires ignored him, but eventually his architectual skills and cheerful disposition helped him earn their respect.

Even after the headquarters were repaired Chuck stayed on to supervise repairs due to explosions in Brainiac 5's lab, as well as other attacks on the headquarters. He also oversaw the retro-fitting of the Legion's Space Station, Outpost Alon (named for former Legion member Gim Alon who gave his life fighting Dr. Zaxton Regulus).

Not long after the Outpost was completed, Chuck was asked on a date by Luornu Durgo (better know by her Legion Code Name, Triad). They went out for a while, but their relationship didn't get serious until after Chuck was asked out by another Legionnaire, Salu Digby (code named Violet). Luornu was jealous that Chuck went out with Salu, until Salu explained that her date with Chuck was just as friends and that Chuck really liked Luornu.

Chuck's relationship with Luornu was put on hold when she was captured by the Blight durring their occupation of earth, and as soon as the Blight were defeated Chuck was sent to oversee the retrofitting of a new outpost. He was rather upset about not to comfort his girlfriend after her ordeal, or even spend some time with her after not seeing her for several months. Because of this, Chuck was understandably grumpy while modifing the new outpost.

While he was modifying the outpost and some of the Legionnaires investigating damage done to a stargate, The UP Council decided to disband the Legion and sent McCauley's Workforce to the outpost to shut them down. Partially due to the interferance of the workforce, the stargate exploded, which destroyed the outpost. It's unclear whether Chuck made it to an escape pod in time, but it is known he is not among the group of Legionnaires who were flung far across space in what was left of the outpost.

Powers and Skills

Chuck is a skilled engineer and architect. He's also an expert at geometry to the point where he can use it to be able to make seamingly impossible shots is such games as Billiards and Mini-Golf.
