The Performer - Summer 1995
".... The immediacy of the
Watchmen's appeal
contrasted the quiet
subtlety of Crash Vegas'
offerings. Their faint
impression was blurred
and
replaced by omnipotent
vocals and irresistably
aggressive, accelerated
chords. The wildly festive,
grinding mass confirmed
the obvious: the
Watchmen were
unquestionably the most
compelling performers of
the day-long music feast,
introducing a seductive
and empowered chaos.
As they ripped through a
chronological collage of
dusty tracks paired with
those currently enjoying
generous air-play, the
reverent throng continued
to writhe and surf with
feverish delight. When the
set came to a close, it
seemed like the end of the
show. ...."
