The
DIXIE CHICKS say, sorry, no more flesh, at
least yours. Theyve stopped
autographing skin when they realized some
fans had Chicks signatures tattooed on their
body parts. 12/19/99 (WIRE) Katy Bee's

The Chicks are
still planning their first headlining tour
for the summer of 2000. MJI reports they're
planning to do something a little different
regarding opening acts that are usually
up-and-coming artists. To quote Emily
Robison: "As far as opening acts and the
bill that we want to put together, we want to
do something different there, and maybe
incorporate more veteran acts that need to be
put back in the spotlight, as opposed to
having some up-and-comers." 12/14/99 NEIL

- The Dixie
Chicks' second album Fly doesn't officially
hit stores until August 31, but the cd cover
art is already raising some eyebrows. No,
it's not because these three beautiful
blondes, well-known for their
expect-the-unexpected style, have gone and
done something, well, unexpected. The
abstract lettering in the title is not the
work of a painter, nor is it
computer-generated; instead, the artwork is
made up of one of the most amazing works of
nature. All of the letters in F-L-Y are
actually photographs of real butterfly wings
taken by renowned nature photographer Kjell
B. Sandved. His published collection of
letters and numerals are included in
"The Butterfly Alphabet," and all
of the insects were photographed without
being caught or killed. 8/25/99 http://www.prnewswire.com SOURCE:
