History: Sister of Tifa Lockheart, Lanai used to be a waitress at her sister's bar. When Tifa joined Avalanche, Lanai decided to start her own life. She moved to Kalm with her boyfriend. A year later he was killed in a vicious monster attack. With nothing to keep her in Kalm, Lanai set out looking for a new life. The rest of Lanai's history hasn't been spoken of to anyone ever. And people are usually smart enough not to ask about it.

Socially, Lanai has made a very good start in Rocket Town, her first paper was the best that's ever been produced. She's made a huge number of friends so far (and a few enemies :) and has kept the morale of the whole town up with her posts on the messageboard. Even though her temper is quick, Lanai has proved a valuable citizen of Rocket Town - and when she starts learning to fight she'll be even more so.

She helped take down an enemy squad with the help of her bodyguard J-Cross, and president Clyde Arrowny during the invasion.
