Special Relativity

Special Relativity is a simple "special" situation, when there is no forces or accelerations present to effect motion, energy, or any other measurable quantities in physics. The idea behind Special Relativity is that any two observers, in any frame of reference moving at a constant velocity with respect to one another, can ascribe the same physical measurements to a set of events. These special frames are called inertial frames, and Special Relativity only applies to frames that are inertial. Einstein's Theory of Relativity creates several occurences that seem impossible but in fact actually happen in Special Relativity. Time dilates(shortens) for moving objects, and lengths contract in the direction of their motion.
