Sailormoon Artbook #5
2200 yen
If you look at SM manga art on the internet at all, none of the pictures in the book will be of any surprise. The paper quality is great and the price is nice compared to other artbooks. But it's not worth the money because all the SM sites recycle the same pictures over and over and over again.
Sailormoon SuperS Media Book #5
680 yen
Volume 5 displays Episodes 163-164, with actual scans of the cels themselves, and most of the dialogue. In the back there's a "frame-by-frame" display of "Twinkle Yell" and "Moon Gorgeous Meditation." A neat book, but the story drags on too long.
Sailormoon Super Media Book #7
860 yen
This volume displays Sailormoon Super episodes 124-126, some of the greatest episodes which summed up the season. There's a "frame-by-frame" display of the Tuxedo Mirage ED in the back of the book.
Sailormoon R Media Book #3
600 yen
Contains three episodes: Episodes 60, 61 and 66. The first and second episodes with Chibiusa, and the curry episode. The cosmetics droid was just funny. There's also a really funny picture of Usagi dirty with curry. In the back there's a "frame-by-frame" display of "Moon Princess Halation."
Sailormoon Media Book #6
600 yen
The book contains episodes 26-28, nijizuishou carriers 2-4: the minister, Ryo Urawa, and Yumemi the artist. In the back there's a "frame-by-frame" display of "Jupiter Power, Make-Up!"
Sailor V Manga #3
410 yen
The last volume of the Sailor V series... I've read parts of it, and I especially liked the ending. It's a bit confusing, but very, very revealing. It ties in and corresponds with a lot of the Sailormoon manga, and it's interesting to know that even though it was released after the ending of the Sailormoon manga, it chronologically took place before Sailormoon even uttered "Moon Prism Power."
Sailor V Manga #2
398 yen
What can I say.. I haven't read it yet, so...
Sailormoon Manga #18
390 yen
The drawings are so detailed and stylish and the storyline is, albeit a tiny bit confusing, neat-o. Eternalsailormoon and Sailorcosmos truly endured, just like in the anime. The ending is really strange though.
Sailormoon Manga #17
407 yen
Another great volume, sparking even more changes for Usagi. What will happen next? This volume is very different from the usual Sailorstars anime, as was volume 16, but this takes Usagi to places never even imagined... you'll see what I mean.
Sailormoon Manga #16
407 yen
Volume 16, overall, was great. The Stars acts really give you a run for your money, an it's as good as the anime, but better storywise. Volume 16 sparked changes, and deaths... I'm not going to ruin it for you, if you haven't read it yet, but do pick up a copy somewhere.
Sailormoon Manga #15
400 yen
This volume was good, but not excellent. The way the senshi were all working together was cool, except for some reason the ending of the story wasn't appealing. But the first actual appearances of the Sailorstars and Eternalsailormoon was nifty. So, an okay volume.
Sailormoon Manga #14
390 yen
This manga sparks the return of the Outer Senshi in the SuperS series. The cover is nice, as is the pull-out poster, and it even features Eternalsailormoon, who would make an appearance in the next volume.
Sailormoon Manga #13
390 yen
This volume of manga, even in the absence of the outers, is spectacular because it contains a plethora of different stories. A great Makoto story, the Ami-chan no Hatsukoi original manga story, and a great Rei/Minako friendship story, aside from the normal SuperS plot, which was still very good. The cover picture is neat-o, and this volume of manga is an overall great one.
Sailormoon Manga #12
390 yen
This contains the first acts of the manga equivalent of the anime season SuperS. The mini-poster inside is pretty neat.
Sailormoon Manga #11
389 yen
The Kaguyahime story wasn't all interesting, but the story on Rei somewhat compensated.
Sailormoon Manga #10
390 yen
The ending of the S stories, in one large act. The story was great; if I haven't already ruined it for you in certain parts of the shrine I won't now. It's different and more darker than the anime. The poster was neat and colorful, with close-ups of the senshis' face, and the preview for the anime SuperS looked great too.
Sailormoon Manga #9
390 yen
Again, another interesting volume. The cover art is neat, as well as on the mini pull-out poster inside, featuring all ten senshi. We even get to see Hotaru attached to computer equipment, showing off her true cyborg colors (lol) Anyways, it was very much like volume 8, with the same mood.
Sailormoon Manga #8
390 yen
This relatively thick volume of manga is great, intensifying the appearances of the Outer Senshi and pawning the Inners against the Death Busters. Hotaru even appeared in this volume. It's very much like the anime; sheer brilliance. The cover art looks mellow. And the plot pacing went even faster.
Sailormoon Manga #7
398 yen
This volume ended the Black Moon stories and started the Death Busters/Outer Senshi stories, like the end of R in the anime and the beginning of S. It also features the first appearance of Chibimoon, and... the death of Sailorpluto?!
Sailormoon Manga #6
398 yen
Alright, if you love the R season in the anime, this book's for you. Personally, since it resembled the R anime so much, I didn't really like reading it. But Sailorpluto has more prominence in this volume. It features the arrival of Black Lady, the "neglected" Chibiusa.
Sailormoon Manga #5
398 yen
Venus o'plenty. Naoko gave Venus more attention and a bigger role in the manga because of Sailor V, and the fact that she's the leader of the four guardian senshi. This book contains more Black Moon stories. There's also a neat picture of Naoko and the anime VA's in the back.
Sailormoon Manga #4
400 yen
This manga begins with a happy reuinion and ends with... you guessed it (or perhaps not) the abduction of the three senshi. The cover art is nice, the mini-poster inside is as well; it contains the senshis' profiles in heavenly states, and the back flap contains a nice picture of Naoko with the senshi from Sera Myu.
Sailormoon Manga #3
390 yen
This volume of manga shows lots and lots of struggle between the forces of good and evil, evil prevailing; the battle between the senshi and Beryl and Metallia. It's really interesting to me because it's so early on in the story, and yet the senshi are already dead! In the mini-poster in the front flap there's a nice picture of the senshi without their boots or heels, and it's interesting because you can see their ankle bones. It doesn't look to graceful. Later, Naoko changed her style, removing the detail, making their legs look.. for a lack of a better term, better.
Sailormoon Manga #2
379 yen
In the back of the book there are sketches of the senshi before they got total makeovers-- you'd have to see it to know what I mean. It's strange. Story-wise, it was okay, featuring the first appearance of Venus.
Sailormoon Manga #1
390 yen
Personally, and since it's very obvious how Sailormoon started, this particular volume didn't appeal to me. It was basically the same as the anime, but more fast-paced. Sailormoon, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter appeared here. It's an early work of Naoko's, and if you compare it to the last volume you'll see the changes her style has gone through.
