Weeks before the big show . .
Anyone ever sit in to watch an artist practice?
I have plenty of times for several artists.
And just that part alone can take alot of time and effort.
'Shindig' had to be many, many months in the making.
So to answer some wise guy who asked - 'Why did it seem
Pops suddenly decide to have a concert right after Regine's show?
'Probably because she wanted to wait till after Regine
had hers.' Simple as that. Meanwhile, the
people
who were hired for it were 'quietly' putting things
together. No real big secret. Just not ready.
Let me put it this way
-Only a inconsiderate person
(or friend) would announce before or during the wedding
of another friend that he was getting married soon too.
You don't take away the thunder from anyone's moment
of happiness and glory. There's a right time for everything.
I been totally amazed how so many nice people got taken
away with the idea that maybe Pops felt she had to show
Regine up right away. It was a fun joke among us and the
fans to kid around with it. But those who really took it
serious really took it out of bounds. Stuff like that give
legitimate music fans a bad name. What people should do
with that kind of passion is help us get good things done
in society. Where's the passion to keep our air clean or
save our rivers. It's a waste to see such misguided energy
channel in the wrong directions. Love your idols! And love yourself.
Another short moment
of your time music fans . . .
Pops and Regine been good friends for
years.
They do work together and done shows together.
Pops was at Regine's concert and Regine was at hers.
Pops has been an inspiration and influence to Regine
and probably considers her a mentor in many ways.
Regine did help out with Pops concert magazine.
There is no rivalry between them. There is no insecurity.
And there can be no real competing comparisons.
There is however one among her fans.
Many who are in
actuality fans of both girls. Just by the number of them
who wrote in mentioning they watched both shows. That's
fine and dainty. Fans always want to compare singers,
have friendly arguments over it. It's normal. Showbiz writers
are more than willing to help fuel that fan rivalry that says
'my artist' is better than your artist. But they made a mistake
and crossed the line by putting the artists in the middle of a
non-issue. Their records should speak for them selves. Though
it is starting to look like writers are being terribly irresponsible
with the way they do their thing now -I think fans have something
to think about too regarding their part in everything. After all,
both girls been in the business together for 15 years! Maybe with
young Jolina and Taus I'll understand. But two matured and
experienced women with good moral character?
As Alicia Silverstone would say - "As if! " ( LoL )
And yes, Pops is number one. Just like Regine
is number one too next door. But if you feel you
have a point to make at least leave the girls
out of it. They really don't care who is no.1
