FOR THOSE WHO LOVE FINE FABRICS AND GREAT VALUE

These fabrics are typical coordinates that are found in each issue of The Fashion Sewing Group Newsletter. Don't miss the next page for some photo inspiration. Afterall, it's about the clothes.

In each issue you'll find coordinating fabrics just like these and suggestions for using them. Here, for example, is the sleeveless jacket from pattern 1962. The fabric was an interesting textured wool knit from Jasco. Was? Fabrics usually sell out to subscribers, but I always have a variety of basics available, and new fabrics each issue. See the next page for several pictures of garments in a past September issue as well as the patterns sewn up. PLEASE e-Mail to inquire about subscribing to the newsletter to receive current fabric swatches. (Different groups of fabrics are sent to subscribers depending on their climate zone...northern regions with multiple seasons receive the broadest assortment of weights. Warm weather regions don't receive as many woolens or coatings, but more suitable lightweight fabrics.

I keep in stock a nice little selection of elegant basics. Shown here is a mostly camel hair with a bit of wool, coating for just $22.00/yd. The gray wool flannel is excellent for pants, and very multi-seasonal. The solid red was a doubleknit. I have similar fabrics to these on my shelves as basics all year 'round.

If you look at the newsletter page, you'll see listed a few of the fabrics in the most recent issues. Fabrics are always changing--specialty fabrics are selected to be very in the fashion moment and there are good basic coordinates for them that offer great sewing results. Many coordinate with past issues to continue color stories.

The clothing shown on the next pages is all representative of the fabrics offered in newsletters. (Any exceptions are noted.) If you're looking for something in particular, you can always email me a request and I'll send you swatches of anything I have that may be suitable at no charge. Please don't ask for "knits" or "something black." as examples. Try to be more specific since I have hundreds of fabrics on hand, such as "something for a dressy wedding suit in blues or beiges." That will give me an idea of where to begin a good swatch selection for you.
