The Java Chatroom is a speedier more fast paced chat vs. The HTML Chatroom which is the classic slow paced chat.

Java displays messages as soon as the sender hits enter, and is updated immediately on everyones screen at the same time.

HTML displays messages in bulk with a "refresh". You may refresh as often or as little as you like.

If your computer is not Java capable and you try to log into the Java chatroom, the room will tell you that your computer is not java equipped and it won't let you chat, if this happens then you go into the html chatroom.
