Ninevan's Lair

Veldrin, popularly called the Mad, also has a pretty special place in my heart, being of course, my more wicked and insane half.   Or my normal self, as my so-called-friends (you know who you are!) tell me. A crazy little lizard, it never really does have any point..just to exist is enough.  Well, here, complete and uncut is Vel's description, so my RP mates can stop wondering what exactly in the Nine Hells it is.  Maybe later, we'll fit in its patchwork story.   Oh, btw, Veldrin has a tiny companion named Ceallach Brilliant Hair.  You'll hear about him too....

The Descriptions:

Veldrin, it must be said first of all, is neither male nor female.  It is non-gendered, which is why, whenever I refer to Vel, I use 'it'.  It's only proper.  Dai...we go on.

Veldrin is a shadow-beast, a shade-ghoul with decidedly vampiric tendencies.  It reaches nearly eight feet tall, and almost ten fully erect, not in its usual hunched over posture.  Veldrin is of the same race as Vendetta, or was, when it yet lived.  It is reptilian, bipedal and digitigrade, though it is formed entirely of a shadowy substance.  It has great, saucer shaped eyes that shine a pale purple, a gift from its vampiric sire.  It's hide, once scaled, now changes to whatever a viewer chooses to see.  Many see fur and some see its true shadows.  Others see feathers; it is all set of mind, what one expects to see.  It has incredible blood-thirst and rarely goes the normal weeks between Feedings.  It has been called Mad, and so it is, insane from the moment it died and was reborn into the Service of Darklord.

Ceallach, its pet, is a tiny male moon dragonet, though almost two months old, he is still the size of a hatchling.  He is dawn-grey, with sloe-dark eyes and a tiny filament crest rising from between his feline ears.  From this head ornament, which rises and lies flat according to his variable moods, he derives his name, Ceallach, which means 'Brilliant Hair'. His accustomed place is on the flat spot between Veldrin's own feline ears, atop its broad skull.  Rarely does Ceallach speak to those that are not part of his and Veldrin's Pack..he considers them 'commoners'.  He mainly keeps Vel from going too deeply into its madness, as it has done before.

The Story:

...isn't quite done yet.  I am sorry for the inconvenience.  Do come back.
