The 2000 U.S. Open Championship will be held from
9:00AM to 5:00PM
on Saturday, July 1st and from 9:00AM to 6:00PM on Sunday, July
2nd

We will play the Swiss tournament on July 1st to select top
eight
players and the top eight players will play single round robin
on
July 2nd. If we have eight players or less, we will play
single
round robin on July 1st to select top four players and the top
four
players will play double round robin on July 2nd. Each
player has
25 minutes on July 1st, and 30 minutes on July 2nd.
The above tournament format is different from that in OQ I
posted,
but I believe the above format is better.
There is no entry fee and small prizes will be given to the top
four
players. The winner will be qualified to enter the 2000 World
Championship. Additionally, it is possible for the second
place
winner to qualify to enter the 2000 World Championship by virtue
of
attaining second place in this tournament. Details will be
decided
later.
To participate in the U.S. Open, you need to be a U.S. citizen
or a
U.S. resident for the past six months, AND register yourself on
or
before Friday, June 23rd.
