Raja
Shahriman Raja Aziddin is one of the very
few artists in Malaysia who sees divine majesty in
the human form. To him, an artist has to come to
terms with his inner stirrings before he can know
himself. Only then can he reflect his true self in
his work. Today, Raja Shahriman is poised at the
frontline of Malaysian Sculpture.

Khalil
Ibrahim is famous as an artist of the romantic
genre. For him there is much excitement to be
drawn out from the mundane and the ordinary. For
him art reflects the rhythms of the land, the
colours of rituals, the daily routine and ordinary
life of a folk community. He is well knows for his
figurative style in watercolour, oil or acrylic
and sinuous lines of semi-abstract forms.

Awang
Damit Ahmad, a Sabah-born artist interprets
the essence of sculpture in the form of abstract
paintings which is closely relevant to the
experience of the artist himself. The choice of
shapes and forms are symbols of nature. His
compositions are strong but within it the viewer
can still discern leaves, baskets and even Dayak
shields which are pieces of the culture that Awang
grew up with.
