The following letter is given, or sent, to all prospective Donors and Sponsors to verify that the Pocono Pirates is a real, and authentic team affiliated with a National Governing Organization. Download Word Version

Dear Possible Donors and Sponsors,

This letter is to verify the authenticity of the Pocono Pirates Volleyball Club. We are a sanctioned team that operates under the Keystone Region of the United States Volleyball Association, commonly referred to as the USVBA. The USVBA is a charity organization and any teams that operate under its name is subject to its By-laws.

Any donation that is received by a team member is placed in a non-interest, non-taxable bank account and is only used for team purposes such as: Team Jerseys, Tournament entries, and Transportation to such events. Secondly, a receipt is issued to the donor to provide proof that money has been exchanged and for your tax purposes. When your organization donates to the Pocono Pirates, You will receive free publicity on our parade floats, T-shirts, Warm Up suits, and any other items you suggest, in exception to the Team's uniforms which would get out of hand. We will also place information about your organization on our Website at the above address which has an average of 200 visits a month.

Any donation is accepted with gratitude and no donation is too small. If a banner or other easily recognizable item can be given with a donation it will be accepted, and will help us promote your business. If you have any questions, or question the identity of the person representing the Pocono Pirates, please call the number listed above. You can also visit the Website, with pictures, to verify the person you spoke with. Please do not give any donations without receiving a receipt.
