Sometimes I feel like I should hang a red light outside my door... ;-)

We've owned cats for several years, but got involved in fostering for an adoption group about three years ago. In that time, and as of the update date of this page, we've fostered 270+ cats and kittens. 202 of those have been adopted out (including 8 adopted by us), or are awaiting adoption. Unfortunately, we've also lost a few, usually to disease or injury they had prior to coming into the rescue. Currently there are way too many in our home, but that's life in rescue. We've had the usual rescue stuff...cats being dumped on the doorstep of the Petco we show at, people moving and leaving them behind, pregnant strays who birthed in our home, etc. It's a lot of work and worry, but very rewarding.

The grey & white beauty below is Mischief, the best cat I could ever have. I lost her to liver disease about 3 1/2 years ago, but I wanted you to see her. I love you, Mischief, and I always will.

We actually own quite a few cats ourselves. In addition to Mischief there are: Vella, Frika and Freia (all littermates of Mischief), as well as Button, Platinum (brothers hand-raised by my wife), Shere Khan, Daphne, Autumn, Isis and Toe (no pictures yet). It's soooooo quiet at my place...yeah, right!

The adoption fee for RCA is $50 for mixed breeds, $75 if they've got a lot of pure breed in them, and $100 for pure breeds. The price covers the first year shots and worming.

fur-persons have allowed their humans to visit this site since May 8, 1999, on the condition that said lower life forms immediately return and feed them, do the litter box, and devote the remainder of their day to petting the cat(s)...isn't that why we're here anyway?
