BLOOD
Taken from the HOLY BIBLE: NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (C) 1978 by the New
York Bible Society, used by permission of Zondervan Bible Publishers.
MAT 26:28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many
for the forgiveness of sins.
MAR 14:24 "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for
many," he said to them.
LUK 22:20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This
cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
JOH 6:53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the
flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will
raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
19:34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear,
bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.
ACT 20:38 What grieved them most was his statement that they would never
see his face again. Then they accompanied him to the ship.
ROM 3:24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that
came by Christ Jesus.
25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his
blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance
he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--
5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we
be saved from God's wrath through him!
1CO 10:16 Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a
participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a
participation in the body of Christ?
11:25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is
the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in
remembrance of me."
EPH 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of
sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace
2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought
near through the blood of Christ.
COL 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on
earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the
cross.
HEB 9:12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but
he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having
obtained eternal redemption.
13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on
those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly
clean.
14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from
acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
10:19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy
Place by the blood of Jesus,
20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his
body,
29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who
has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing
the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the
Spirit of grace?
12:24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood
that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
13:12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people
holy through his own blood.
20 May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant
brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the
sheep,
1PE 1:2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the
Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus
Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or
defect.
1JO 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us
from all sin.
5:6 This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not
come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who
testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
REV 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn
from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us
and has freed us from our sins by his blood,
5:9 And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to
open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased
men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
7:14 I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have
come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made
them white in the blood of the Lamb.
12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their
testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
