    *Benjamin Haines was born 1669, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married *Lydia Jagger Lydia was born 1671, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, the daughter of *John Jagger and *Hannah Cross. Benjamin's Will was probated on 04 September 1713. Benjamin died in 1713, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York. Their children were:

1.  *Benjamin Haines, (See 4th Generation), born 1687, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York..

2.  David Haines, born 1690, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married Abigail Foster. Abigail born 27 October 1692, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, the daughter of Christopher Foster and Hannah Pierson. David left a Will dated 21 Sep 1754. David died in 1756, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York. Their children were:

     a.  Abigail Haines, b: 25 Nov 1718, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY.

     b.  Hannah Haines, b: 22 Jan 1720. Puah d: 30 Aug 1781.

     c.  Lydia Haines, b: 03 Aug 1723, married Daniel Foster. Daniel b: 22 Mar 1722, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the son of Daniel Foster and Lydia Wood. Lydia d: 1749, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY. Daniel remarried. Children: David Foster.

     d.  Puah Haines, b: 09 Oct 1726, married Joshua Clark. Joshua b: . Puah d: 30 Aug 1781 and Joshua d: 07 Mar 1789. They are buried in the Mattituck Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mattituck, Suffolk Co., NY. Children:

3.  John Haines, born 1692, Southampton, Suffolk Co., New York, married Jane ____. Jane born 1694? John left a Will dated 1768 and proved on 13 September 1774, mentions his children and his brother (in law) Henry Harris. John died in 1774, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York. John and Jane's children were:

     a.  Benjamin Haines, b: 23 Nov 1721, Southampton, Suffolk Co., NY, married Catherine Woodruff. Catherine b: 12 Mar 1729. Benjamin d: 12 Dec 1774 and Catherine d: 09 Sep 1777. They are buried in the First Presbyterian Churchyard, Elizabeth, Union Co., NJ (findagrave). Children: Catherine, Benjamin, Hannah and Mary Haines.

     b.  Temperance Haines, b: unknown, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married Jackson Scott. Jackson b: 1700, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the son of Jekemiah/Jeremiah? Jackson and Mary Jackson. Children: Jackson, Samuel, John, Thomas, Matthew and James Scott.

     c.  Mary Haines, b: 1727, Southampton, Suffolk Co., NY, married Bethuel Reeve. Bethuel b: 1729, Southold, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, the son of Solomon Reeve and Sarah Rumsey. Mary d: 1793 and Bethuel d: 03 Jul 1782. Children: Joel, Keturah, Silas, Bethia, Daniel, Zebulon and Jeremiah Reeve.

Benjamin died 10 February 1767 and Abigail died 14 May 1751. They are buried in the Goodwill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Montgomery, Orange Co., New York (findagrave). Their children were:

1.  Nathan Haines, born 1708, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York.

2.  Benjamin Haines, born 1710, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, New York, married twice? He married firstly to Mary Booth. Mary born 26 February 1713, Orange Co., New York, the daughter of Charles Booth and Mary Goldsmith. Mary died 09 July 1757 and is buried at the Goodwill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Montgomery, Orange Co., New York (findagrave). Their children were:

     a.  Mehitable Haines, b: 15 Oct 1749, Orange Co. NY, married Alexander Kidd. Alexander b: 25 Jun 1746. Mehitable d: 08 Aug 1815 and Alexander d: 22 Jul 1822. They are buried in the Goodwill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Montgomery, Orange Co., NY. Children: Benjamin, Alexander, Mary, David, Margaret, Mary and Charles Kidd.

     b.  Charles Haines, b: 15 Feb 1755 Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY, married twice. He married firstly to Mary Oldsmith?. Mary b: . Mary d: 18 Mar 1788. Children: Phebe, Mary, Abby, Susannah and Mehitable Haines. Charles married secondly to Sarah Nowland. Sarah b: 14 Sep 1769. Charles d: 1826 and Sarah d: 06 Oct 1830, both in Montgomery Co., NY. Children: Benjamin, Wealthy?, Hiram, Wilmot, Maria, Phebe, Eliza, Cornelia, Pauline and Sally Haines.

     c.  Anna Haines, b: 04 Jul 1757, Orange Co. NY, married Moses Bull on 15 Dec 1774, Montgomery, Orange Co., NY. Moses b: 20 Jun 1753, Stony Ford, Orange Co., NY, the son of William Bull and Anne d: 26 Dec 1824 and Moses d: 23 Dec 1844, both in Walkill, Orange Co., NY. They are buried in the Neelytown Cemetery, Neelytown, Orange Co., NY. Children:

    Benjamin may be the one who also married Martha Neely. Martha was born 1740 Montgomery, Orange Co., New York, the daughter of William Neely? Benjamin died 1796 and Martha died 1769. Their children were:
