The Sun and the Moon
By: Liz Staley

A figure stood in the shadows, only two eyes and a long staff shone in the dim light. The girl pulled back into the lit corner, trying to shield herself from the figure in the shadows in front of her. A voice filled her head, far away but definitely male.
“You must travel to Toyama and search out the one named Roanna Tsuyomi of the Armor of TigerFire. Go quickly, for you cannot be saved by hiding from the figure standing before you. AWAKEN!”
Just then, the shadowed figure rushed forward, raising the staff to crush the girl’s skull in...

Bianka bolted upright in bed, her red eyes wide with fear and her strawberry blond hair disheveled. Her eyes darted around her brightly lit house, looking for danger. There was, of course, none to be found. Probably the most dangerous thing in the room was the dirty laundry from yesterday’s rigorous martial arts session.
She quietly pushed the blankets aside and swung her legs over the side of the bed. In her mind, she ran over the details of her dream. She had been running from a tall, armored figure when she found that she was trapped in a dead end. She crouched in the corner as the threatening figure had loomed above her.. And then that voice...
Bi shook her head. “Must be a message from destiny or something... But go to Toyama?! Isn’t that in Japan somewhere?”
In a very quick decision, she stood and ran to her bookshelf in her small living room. The house that Bianka Karr lived in was quite small, not much more than a kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, two bedrooms, and a basement. She had lived by herself for 3 years, ever since she turned 16. True, it was a young age to be on your own, but her parents had died long before then. She had lived with her Martial Arts teacher for awhile, and then moved out when she hit 16. Still participating in regular training sessions 5 times a week kept her lean and tough, which was a self-requirement for Bianka.
Bi was five feet and nine inches tall with a wiry frame and sculpted muscles. Her strawberry blond hair was long and layered, with the longer part usually pulled into a ponytail. Her eyes were her most interesting feature though. They were bright red and had constantly gotten her into trouble her whole life. She always felt that somewhere, somehow, there was a group of people who truly understood her. All she had to do was find them.
The Atlas that Bianka pulled off the shelf was dusty. She threw it on the dining room table and then went to the kitchen. She returned a minute later with a glass of orange juice and sat down in front of the Atlas. Quickly, working with some energy she did not know that she had, she flipped to the index and looked up Toyama. Turning to the map, she found that the city was in Japan. Staring at the picture in front of her, Bianka drank her orange juice and thought.
“Well...” she finally said aloud, “No sense in sitting around here, I guess.”
She got up and went to pack her things.

A small, light breeze rustled through the cherry blossom trees. A pair of brown eyes surveyed the scene and then closed.
Roanna Tsuyomi was in deep thought as she sat on the wall in the forest, looking up at the full, glowing moon. She sighed and wondered how she’d gotten herself into this whole mess anyway.
“Who’dve thought that I’d actually amount to something... Lord knows I didn’t do much when I was younger.. Suddenly I’m a fighter of evil... kinda weird how things work. Right, Blue Streak?” Ro looked down at the sleeping white tiger. He opened a yellow eye and rolled it casually toward her. Roanna giggled sleepily as she thought about everything that had happened lately.
Roanna had come to Toyama looking for a new beginning. It was exactly what she’d found... sort of. After meeting Haruka Kyokuru, a clerk in a local furniture store, and going for a walk with her, the two were attacked by a large man in armor. Soon after, Roanna was attacked by another man in armor who called himself Shi. As it turned out, Roanna also had an armor. The Armor of Friendship made itself known to her, and she did her best to battle Shi, but a powerful attack had cracked the helmet. Haruka, also bearing an armor, came to Roanna’s rescue. A mysterious monk showed up soon after to heal Ro and explain the Legend of the Ronin Warriors to the two girls. Roanna was given the armor of TigerFire to replace the Friendship.
Haruka and Ro began to wonder about the other 3 members of their team, whom they were supposed to keep an eye out for. The third member appeared in a vision, obviously in pain and in trouble. The two Ronin Girls had jumped into Ro’s car and sped off for the scene. Kryss Lynn now wore the armor of Phoenix, a light purple-blue fire armor.
Roanna sighed and smiled slightly as she looked up at the stars. She always came out here to watch the sunset. Sunset and the dusk afterwards were her favorite times of the day. She never got tired of watching the beautiful colors as the sun burned down the horizon and disappeared from sight. Blue Streak came with her not only because he was bound to her by her armor, but also because he loved being outside.
Suddenly, Roanna stood up, her eyes wide. Blue Streak raised his head and looked at her quizzically. “The fourth Ronin is on her way...” Ro whispered. Then she turned and ran back to the house, with the tiger right behind her.

Hours later, Bianka stepped off the plane. She looked around, wondering why she’d felt compelled to listen to a voice in a dream. She didn’t speak a word of Japanese, and she had no clue where she was going in this place! “Maybe... Maybe the phone book is in English...” she thought desperately.
Spotting a pay phone, Bianka shifted her back pack and headed across the busy terminal. Her red eyes flashing, she practically ripped open the phone book, and then sighed in relief to find letters that she understood.
“Alright then... Tsuyomi... Tsuyomi....” quickly she flipped to the T section and ran her finger down the page. “Ah! Tsuyomi, Roanna... 4721 Roku Street.”
A small while later, Bianka was sitting comfortably in a cab, hoping that this wasn’t a big mistake.

“Ro, are you sure about this?”
“Dammit, of course I am! I know she’s on her way! She’s getting closer, I can feel it!” Roanna’s very long brown hair swished behind her like a cape as she paced the length of the living room.
The house that Roanna, Haruka, and Kryss called home was actually Ro’s. She’d had it built for her before she even set foot in Toyama. The house was huge, with a giant forest surrounding it on three sides. It was about 3 or 4 miles from Toyama City, and there was even a giant cliff in back of it, through the forest. The house had a foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, basement, bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. For now, the girls each had their own room. But they had decided that when the other members of the Ronin Girls began to arrive, Haruka would move her stuff into Ro’s room and the fourth and fifth girls would share the room at the end of the hall, leaving Kryss with the smallest bedroom. Kryss was the only one who didn’t mind having the small, slightly cramped space.
All of the decorating and furniture arranging had been done by Ro. Kryss and Haruka had heard Ro say once that the house was modeled after the one that she grew up in. Then again, Roanna didn’t like to talk about her past at all. In fact, none of them had really sat down and discussed their childhoods. For right now, such trivial things didn’t seem important.
Ro flopped down in the arm chair facing the couch and put her head in her hands. “I wish we knew more about what we’re supposed to be doing... This is horrible. All we do is sit around and wonder when the next attack or member is going to come. That Ancient One guy doesn’t stay long enough to answer any of our questions... Lot of help he is.”
There was a moment of silence. “Hey... Ro, it’ll be alright. Maybe the last two warriors are coming down the street right now.” Haruka said cheerfully.
Roanna sighed. “I doubt it.”
There was yet another moment of silence.

“You can let me out here, driver.”
The cab stopped and Bianka stepped out. The driver had insulted her a few blocks back by asking why she was wearing such creepy contact lenses. She explained to him that red was her natural eye color, and he had laughed at her. But, now they were on Roku Street, and Bi wanted to walk the rest of the way to the place her dream had told her to travel.
The cab pulled off and Bi started off down the street. She noticed that this place wasn’t exactly in a populated section. There was a house about every 100 yards or so, and lots of trees and grass and flowers. She began to wonder if this was the right thing to be doing.
The third house down was very far from the second house, about 300 yards away. The house number was 4721, and the name on the box said “Tsuyomi”. With a deep breath, Bianka began to slowly walk up the cobblestone path to the front door.

In the Dynasty, Koritsu turned to a warlord. “Itami! Don’t let that girl get to the Ronin so easily. But if the other 3 show up, leave without taking any chances!”
Itami’s yellow eyes flashed with excitement. “It is already done!”

Bianka was halfway up the path when a blurred figure began to appear in front of her. She stepped back in surprise, but stared at the image. And then, it became apparent that this wasn’t an illusion. The blur formed into a very real 6'4" person wearing dark red armor and carrying a flail and chain.
“Wha-!?” squeaked the girl as she backed up again.
“I will not let you live long enough to get into that house!” yelled the man in armor.

“What was that?” Kryss said, breaking the silence.
The three girls suddenly jumped up and turned to the large bay window that faced the front yard. They saw a girl with long, layered hair and a tall man in armor getting ready to attack!
“SHIT! Let’s get out there!” Haruka yelled.
Ro jumped for the fireplace mantle and grabbed a random crystal from among them. She briefly glanced at it. It was the navy blue and burgundy one. “Must be fate. Oh well!” The bearer of TigerFire jumped over the coffee table and then cleared the couch, only a few steps behind Kryss and Haruka, who already had their sub-armor on.

“I haven’t done anything!” Bianka yelled, getting into a fighting stance.
“And I won’t give you a chance to either! DIE!” The man raised his flail and...
“HURT HER AND WE’LL KILL YOU RIGHT WHERE YOU STAND!”
Itami looked over his shoulder and saw the three Ronin Girls racing down the sidewalk at him, their sub-armor gleaming in the sun. Roanna wore dark metallic blue and white, Haruka black and white, and Kryss wore light purple-blue and dark purple. They stopped a short distance from the man in armor, who turned to face them.
“So, which one are you?” Roanna said with a challenging smirk on her face.
“I am Itami, the warrior of pain! You cannot hope to defeat me, pathetic girls. Run along and play with your dolls.” The yellow eyes behind the mask sparkled with amusement.
Roanna stepped forward. “I don’t think so, buddy-boy. We’ll wipe you right out of my yard!” Ro and Kryss rushed Itami, while Haruka ran around to get to Bianka.
“Hey, do you know how to fight?” Ruka asked as Ro and Kryss began to attempt to defeat the Warlord they were attacking.
“What?” Bi answered dumbly.
“It’s a simple question! Do you know how to fight!?”
“Yes.. Yes, I do”
Haruka smiled. “Alright then. Roanna gave me this to give to you. If you’re the one, then it will know.” Ruka grabbed the girl’s hand and shoved a marble into it, then ran off to join the fight. Bianka looked down and saw a navy blue and burgundy sphere.
“What is this thing?”
Before she finished her sentence, she was wearing the same sort of armor that the other three girls were in.
“HYA!” Roanna leaped up and attempted a snap kick to Itami’s face. Itami was quite fast though, and the girls still weren’t used to battling for any length of time. Itami whirled around with his chain, whipping it across Ro’s chest. She fell to the ground in a heap, but Haruka and Kryss continued their assault.
Kryss managed a solid blow to Itami’s leg with her foot, which sent him backwards. He got up, a bit of pain in his eyes. “I’ll be back. And I’ll get you next time!”
When the warlord of pain was gone, Haruka raced to Ro. Roanna was clutching her chest as she slowly got up. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. He just got me really good with that chain.” Roanna got up and then looked down her sidewalk. With a small smile, she examined the girl standing in front of her wearing sub-armor. “So... you’re the fourth? Ya know, you could’ve helped us with that goon. Come on, let’s go inside.”
The three Ronin went in, followed by their slightly bewildered guest.

A short while later, after Ro had fixed some tea, snacks, and taken some pain medicine for her chest, the four sat in the living room.
Bianka coughed nervously. “Does anyone want to tell me what’s going on here?”
Haruka and Kryss looked to Ro, who was sitting in the arm chair in front of the window. “First of all, this is Kryss Lynn,” Ro pointed to the girl with the shoulder-length light brown hair and a strange necklace with a purple, bird shaped stone on it, “And that’s my best friend, Haruka Kyokuru.”
“That’s a girl!? DAMN! I thought it was a cute guy!” Bi thought, slightly disappointed.
“And I am-“
Bianka interrupted. “Roanna Tsuyomi, right?”
Ro’s left eyebrow raised. “Yes. How did you know that?”
“I had a dream last night. A voice told me to come to Toyama and look for you.”
Kryss, Haruka, and Ro exchanged a suspicious glance. “Well, anyway.. We’re the Ronin Girls. A few years ago, a group called the Ronin Warriors battled the evil Dynasty. After Talpa was defeated, they were called upon three more times to wear their mystical armor and defeat evil. They have families now, and are scattered over the Earth, trying to live normal lives. So, now that someone else is trying to take over the world, we’ve been called in.” Roanna stood up formally and reached into her pocket. She pulled out one marble-sized dark metallic blue ball, and one oval shaped Tiger’s Eye stone. “I am Roanna Tsuyomi, bearer of the armors of Friendship and TigerFire.”
Haruka stood, her green eyes sparkling and her short blond hair brushing against her face. “I’m Haruka Kyokuru, bearer of the armor of Vengeance.” She showed a black marble to Bianka.
Kryss Lynn smiled as she stood. “Kryss Lynn, armor of Phoenix.” Her marble was a light purple-blue.
Bianka stood as well. “My name is Bianka Karr.”
Roanna whistled, a long, clear note. Bi heard something thunder down the steps. A few seconds later, a large white and black tiger came around the couch and sat next to Roanna. It fixed its yellow eyes on Bianka. “This is my tiger, Blue Streak. I guess the only other person you need to meet is the Ancient One.” Ro said with a friendly smile.
Bianka and the other girls sat back down. Ro smiled and continued talking. “Haruka will move her stuff into my room. You’ll have the room at the end of the hall to yourself for now. This is my house, but everyone’s welcome to stay. I figure it’s best, considering we’re all going to have to work together against this new threat. C’mon, I’ll show you around. Kryss, Ruka, we need some food. Can you go into town and buy at least enough for me to cook something tonight?” Ro had walked over to the table in the front foyer and threw a set of keys at Ruka.
“Yeah Ro. Come on, Kryss.” The two walked out the front door and pulled off towards town. Roanna smiled at Bianka and waved for her to follow.
“Let’s go. I need to give you the tour.”
As Bi, Blue Streak, and Ro walked around the house, turning on and off lights and making small talk. Bianka began to like Roanna more and more, even though she didn’t know anything about her.
“And this will be your room. I guess after dinner we’ll move Haruka’s stuff into the other room. As you can see, we’ve got enough beds.”
Bi had noticed that. In all there were 5 beds. One was in the smallest bedroom, 2 in the master room, and 2 in the room that Bianka was going to be in. In Kryss’ room, there were two cats who were now following Blue Streak. The big white tiger didn’t look too pleased at having the little calico female and the white and orange male house cat playing with his tail. Roanna had introduced the calico as Patches and the orange and white as Weezle, and explained that they were Kryss’ cats.
About an hour and a half after they’d left, Haruka and Kryss came back with the groceries. The girls put them away and then Ro began to cook Pot Roast with carrots, potatoes, and gravy. Bianka, Kryss, and Haruka were sitting around the kitchen table talking while Ro cooked.
“The first time I met Ro, she was fast asleep in a chair in the furniture store I work in. It was her first day here.” Haruka paused while Bi and Kryss laughed. “And then, when we had the visions about Kryss! She was doing 75 miles per hour going through the city! I’m surprised we didn’t get caught!”
“You’re joking with me!” Bi exclaimed through her laughter.
“No I’m not! Plus... I think Ro has the hots for the Ancient One.” Haruka smiled slyly.
“WHOA! I DO NOT!” Ro yelled from in the kitchen.
The girls laughed and joked the whole way through dinner, and for the first time in a long time, all four felt like they were part of a family.

“Itami! You idiot! Now they have most of the Ronin Warriors together! All they need to do is find the fifth one! You could’ve killed that girl with no effort if you were smart enough!”
Itami practically cowered as he knelt. “I.. I’m sorry, Master! Those three are fast! They showed up before I could do anything!”
“Excuses, excuses! I don’t want to hear anymore of your defenses!”
He cowered more. “Yes, Koritsu.”
“If those five manage to carry out their destinies, then we will be dead, do you hear me!?”
“Yes, Koritsu.”

That night the girls slept peacefully, and the next morning was dark and drizzly. Of course, the Ronin decided to head into town and get some lunch, then maybe take in a movie. Ro’s real motivation though was to show Bianka around Toyama. She loved the city, with its bright lights, corner shops, and all sorts of interesting people to see. Haruka had lived there so long that she walked by everything like it was invisible, and Kryss wasn’t really that observant. But Roanna had a feeling that Bianka would love the city. So, they left Blue Streak to roam around Ro’s property for awhile, and then they piled into the convertible and Ro pulled out of the driveway.
Ro found a parking spot outside of an electronic store, where a rather large crows was gathered, watching something on the news.
“What’s going on?” Kryss said as they began to get out of the car.
“I don’t know, but I’m going to find out. You guys stay by the car.” Roanna walked over to the window and listened carefully to the news anchor.
“In Toyama General Hospital, there are even more people reporting mysterious pains. These people have no symptoms of anything, but are in massive amounts of anguish. And in other news, there are still more unexplained deaths all over the city. Forty-seven people were found dead and abnormally decayed in a department store this afternoon. Doctor Koritsu Shitame gave us a statement this afternoon-“
Ro had turned to walk away, but at the sound of the name she snapped back around. “Koritsu!??”
She saw, on the TV, a very tall woman with long orange hair that had been cut short in the front but was a very long ponytail in the back. She had red eyes, from what Ro could see, and a long white doctor’s coat. “My team and I have been working long hours to attempt to diagnose the sources of these strange pains and deaths.”
Ro waved for the others to come over. They raced to the window and watched with her.
Doctor Shitame continued, “However, we feel that we may be looking at some sort of new killer disease. Everything possible is being done.”
“Ro, what’s wrong?” Haruka asked as the woman disappeared from the screen.
“That was Doctor Koritsu Shitame..” Ro said blankly.
There was a silence. “Roanna, are you trying to say that our enemy has a PhD in medicine!?” Ruka exclaimed.
“It could be..”
“Ro, I think you’re giving them too much credit. Those warlords are stupid, they can’t possibly be under the command of a doctor! Besides, Koritsu should be making evil plans, not helping sick people!” blurted Kryss.
Roanna noticed a few people looking at them. “Yeah, I guess you guys are right.” she said, not feeling convinced. “Let’s go eat and stuff. Looks like it’s going to storm really bad.”
The sky was turning darker by the minute as the girls entered the restaurant.

“You know, I never thought I’d like sushi!” Bianka said as she struggled to work her chopsticks.
“If it was up to Ro, this is all we’d ever eat.” quipped Kryss.
Ro smiled cheerfully, her mouth full of rice.
The four were sitting around a square table, sharing a group order of sushi, fried rice, and vegetables. Plus they had lots of green tea.
“Hey, remember that first day Kryss was here and we get attacked while we were eating?”

Koritsu smiled. “Shi! Itami! Kirau! Mahi! Go interrupt their happy little lunch. I don’t want them to have a moment’s peace!”
The four warlords bowed. “Yes, Koritsu!”

“It sounds like you guys have had some tough times.” Bi said before shoveling some fried rice in her mouth.
“Well, I only got here about three weeks ago, and so far me and Ruka have had five run- ins with Koritsu’s goons. Kryss has had three. None of us are really used to this... I can fight on instinc-... I mean, I can swing a sword around.” Ro had a look on her face that made the others wonder if she was hiding something. “Ruka’s had some Martial Arts, but that’s because she’s been here a long time. Kryss seems to have a handle on what she’s doing, but none of us are really good.”
“I’ve been training in Martial Arts for years now. Ever since my parents died.”
Bianka was cut off by the sudden appearance of the four warlords, one standing behind each girl. The four jumped up out of their chairs. Before they could do anything though, the warlords grabbed their arms and held them.
“Hey! Let us go, creeps!” Kryss yelled.
There were only a few other people in the restaurant, but Ro was concerned for their safety. “GET OUT OF HERE! YOU’RE ALL GOING TO GET HURT!” Ro ordered.
To her surprise, they actually listened. “I guess no one in Japan wants to deal with Warlords...” Ro thought in dismay.
The other girls were struggling to break free. Ro looked over to Bianka, who was being held by a guy in dark orange armor. His eyes, barely visible beneath his mask, were green, and they met with Ro’s brown eyes.
“So, who are you?” She asked the new warlord. She already knew Itami, who was holding Haruka, and Kirau, who had Kryss. Of course, Shi was holding Ro.
The new Warlord chuckled. “I am called Mahi, the Warrior of Paralysis!”
“Oh really? Well prepare to be paralyzed, goons!” Ro smirked. “ARMOR OF TIGERFIRE! DAO YUJO!”
“ARMOR OF VENGEANCE! DAO SHORI!”
“ARMOR OF THE PHOENIX! DAO AI!”
“Eh..?” Bianka didn’t know her armor call yet, but the formation of the other armors made Shi, Kirau, and Itami drop their holds, and Bianka found Mahi distracted enough to break free as the burgundy and navy blue sub-armor appeared around her.
The girls turned to face their attackers. “Hey guys, let’s try not to damage the place, alright!?” Ro said.
Shi titled his head. “Oh, so you want to take this outside then? You do realize it’s raining like a bitch out there.”
Ro, unfortunately, took her eyes off of Shi to look. Yes, it was raining, and in the next second, Shi had grabbed Roanna, picked her up, and thrown her hard through the front window. Glass shattered and sparkled everywhere as Ro slammed into the hood of a parked car and rolled off into the street, disappearing from sight.
“ROANNA!” screamed the other three girls.
Kirau pulled out his sword and attacked Kryss, Mahi withdrew bladed nunchaku and went after Bianka, and Itami raised his mace towards Haruka. Shi headed for the front window, ready to take the life of the first Ronin.
Kryss knocked Kirau back a little with a powerful slash from her kitana, but she didn’t even penetrate his armor. “Man... these guys are good...” she thought as he came back with a sturdy swipe of his wickedly curved blade.
Kryss dodged, but not by much. The wind from the sword rustled her cape as she stepped out of the way. Then, she quickly attempted a kick on the warlord. Her foot connected with his breastplate, sending him back again, but he launched a quick counterattack and caught Kryss off guard. Her shoulder exploded with blood and she fell back, dropping her sword.

Haruka was having an equally hard time with Itami. She hadn’t been able to deflect his chain, and if it wasn’t for her armor she was sure she would’ve been bleeding by now. His mace came at her again, too fast, and she caught it right in the chest. “OOF!” Haruka stumbled back into the wall, clutching her chest. The world seemed to be spinning in front of her eyes, but she fought the blackness that was creeping in and drew a breath. Her eyes focused just as Itami’s knee came up into her chin. Haruka crumpled back against the wall and hit the floor, blood dripping out of her mouth.

Bianka was scarcely holding her own against Mahi. He had two weapons and full armor, and all she had was her feet, fists, and sub-armor. “How... do I call... my regular armor?” Bi thought, exhausted and out of breath. Suddenly, she felt a warmth in her heart. Then, she smirked, her red eyes flashing. “ARMOR OF SUNFIRE MOON! DAO YOJIN!”
The fighting between the others stopped. Even Shi turned from his intended target to see what was going on. In a flash of light, Bianka appeared in a burgundy and navy blue armor, with a short cape, a slim sword, and a helmet with a half-sun, half-moon decoration. She pulled out the sword and faced Mahi. “Now who’s in charge!?” she yelled, racing forward. She had more of a reach with her sword than Mahi had with his nunchaku. The tables had turned on the Warlord.

Roanna slowly opened her eyes and saw Shi standing over her, raising his sickle. She had heard Bianka call her armor, and a moment later she had her wits back around her. Ro quickly rolled out of the way of the pointy end of the double sickle. The rain was pouring down on them, but luckily, it had sent everyone else inside. There wasn’t even a car coming down the street, and Ro was thankful for that.
“Alright jerk... I’m getting really tired of you guys interrupting my food!” snarled Ro, pushing her wet hair out of her face.
Shi laughed hysterically. “We’re only following Koritsu’s orders, pathetic fool! Now, shut up and die!”
Ro raised her arm just before the sickle could hit her. They were locked in a power struggle as Ro tried to locate her no-dachi. Finally she saw it over on the other side of the street, half-way in the gutter. Quickly, she brought her foot across Shi’s knees, tripping him. As he fell, Ro dashed to the left, grabbing her no-dachi and then running back at Shi. He was pushing himself up, and Ro took the opportunity to kick him as hard as she could in his stomach. He rolled away, coughing.
“WHO’S THE PATHETIC FOOL!?” Ro yelled, diving at him with her no-dachi flourished.

Bianka unleashed a savage spin kick to Mahi’s face. He stumbled backwards. “YOU BITCH!”
“Hey, at least I don’t look like a dark orange ninja!” Bi chuckled. Mahi’s helmet looked like a ninja suit, and it was very amusing to the red-eyed girl.
Mahi pointed menacingly at Bianka. “I will be back for you!” he growled. Then, he slowly disappeared.
Bi looked at the spot where he once stood for a moment, then she smiled broadly. “I won! I won! IwonIwonIwon!” She did a silly little dance of happiness for a few seconds, then looked around to see if anyone else was in trouble.
Bianka saw Haruka slumped on the floor, and she quickly raced to her rescue. She slammed Itami into the wall and held him there with her knee as she hit him repeatedly in the face. Itami quickly disappeared, and he didn’t come back. “Guess I was too much for him..” Bi thought, then she crouched down to Haruka. “You alright?” she asked.
Haruka looked up, pain in her green eyes. “I’ll be okay. C’mon, let’s help Kryss.”
Bi helped Ruka up, and the two turned their attention to the Warrior of Hate. Haruka attacked from the right, Bianka from the right. Kirau soon disappeared too, and the three girls raced for the hole in the window.

Ro was managing somehow to hold her own against Shi. The bearer of TigerFire had a few scratches, but her armor had absorbed some of the damage. The warrior of Death was fast, real fast, but Roanna was starting to see his pattern of attacks. She could almost picture what he was going to do before he did it. She also saw the rest of the Ronin coming toward them, which meant that they had already conquered the other Warlords. Roanna grinned. “Get lost, Shi. You can’t win over us.”
Shi looked and saw the other girls coming at them, weapons at the ready. “Looks like the odds are no longer in my favor. Koritsu will not be pleased with us..” Then Shi turned back to Ro. “You haven’t seen the last of us! Koritsu will rule this world!” And with a flash of red light, Shi finally was gone.
“RO! Are you okay!?” Haruka asked as she nearly fell from slipping on the wet asphalt.
In the distance they could hear police cars. “Yeah, I’m okay. Let’s just go home.” Their armors disappeared and Roanna pulled out her car keys. They got into the car and pulled off, driving slowly around so they wouldn’t be seen as fleeing from the scene of the crime.
“Hey,” Ro said suddenly, “The Ancient One never showed up...”
Haruka turned around to Kryss and Bianka. “Doesn’t she sound upset about that? I’m telling you guys, she likes him!”
“I do not!! Stop saying that!” Ro screamed.
“Is this my destiny... To fight alongside these girls? Hey, why not? I feel like this is where I belong!” Bianka thought as she watched the rain spatter on the windshield.
