Sam started coming to Rocky on October 31st, 1995 and was a regular for some time afterwards. In December of 1995 Sam and two of his friends (who shall remain unnamed) came to the show equipped with stuffed fish. At this point Sam automatically gained the unoffical title of "Fish Man". Desperate for a way to stop paying $5.50 on a weekly basis and still go to the show, Sam joined the props crew around January '96. Sam took the part of Riff understudy, becoming lead Riff on November 2nd when Jorge gave up the role. He occasionally goes on 'vacation' from the cast but always returns like a badly designed boomerang.

Sam is originally from Israel and speaks fluent Hebrew (and some form of English few can understand). Known as the Dark Jester for his tendency to wear his Jester's hat with black clothing and as Jesus for his rather convincing impression -- makes sense given the ethnic/geographical backgrounds. When asked what attracts him to the show, Sam simply replied "Grape". Sam spends most of his non-Rocky time just figuring out how to get to Pinellas in the first place. He is a professional yuppie hunter and can be found sneaking his way around St. Petersburg equipped with a fishing rod, pair of croissants and a double-barreled shotgun.
