Chibi-Usa reopened
her eyes. The darkness of her eyelids left space to the blurry image of
a familiar visage,
"Mommy?"
the child asked, but then realized that the young woman who was standing
in front of her, wasn't her mother. Chibi-Usa sat up, Kakyuu lovely smiled
at her,
"How
do you feel?" she asked with soft voice,
"Who
are you?" Chibi-Usa asked, wrinkling her forehead suspiciously,
"I
am Kakyuuhime, princess of the planet Kinmokusei. I am also part of the
Sailor Starlights and my battle name is Sailor Fireball". The pink haired
girl didn't reply anything, "Do you remember me?" Kakyuu asked gently.
Chibi-Usa nodded slowly, but with few convinction: yes, now that she thought
to it, the child could recognize in Kakyuu the senshi who had protected
her. "May I know your name?" the alien princess asked again.
"My
name is Usagi" the kid replied with an unpleasant tone, "Tsukino Usagi".
"You
finally woke up" Yaten spoke, leaning over her and gazing her with his
penetrating green eyes. Chibi-Usa
stiffened in alarm on her place, she hasn't noticed the three youths before.
"She's
really the identical copy of Usagi, eh?" Taiki added with a smile,
"Shut
up you two" Seiya found nothing better to say.
"Don't
worry" Kakyuu said, "They too are Sailor Senshitachi" Chibi-Usa widened
her eyes, "And they are my trusted guardians".
"Let's
quit with those nonsense" Yaten exploded, "Do you come from the future?"
he asked pointing at her. Chibi-Usa gave him a resentful look and turned
her face from the other side, with childlike indignation. Yaten seethed
with wrath, "But look at this...". Seiya gave him a small knock in his
forehead,
"Take it easy" he exorded with amusement, "Neither children like you, you
see?".
Kakyuu put her
hands over the shoulders of the kid and smiled her gently,
"Please, trust us" she murmured. Chibi-Usa stole a look at the woman, not
very sure, yet and, in that moment, her body was assailed by a terrible
ache and for few instants again, while she was yelling and writing, she
turned transparent. Seiya, Taiki, Yaten and Kakyuu exchanged a silent look,
filled with anguish.
"What's happening to me?!?" Chibi-Usa cried, looking for refuge into Kakyuu's
arms, "What's happening?" she shouted frightened.
"Listen" Seiya bited his lips and then restarted to talk, with his quietest
tone, "A mysterious enemy had begun to modify the past and now, he's trying
to share forever..." also if he had took his decision about Usagi and mamoru,
the youth found hard to pronounc the words "your father and your mother".
Chibi-Usa hugged Kakyuu even more at those words,
"If Usagi and Mamoru won't meet today" Taiki hesitated, "... you'll disappear
forever. And all your age, together with you".
"We are there in order to help the Sailor Senshi and your parents" the
alien princess murmured to the child "We please you to have trust us..."
Chibi-Usa finally lifted her glassy eyes to Kakyuu's: that woman reminded
her her mommy, so much...

Silently, Arashi
sneaked off her bedroom and, entering the dining room, she approached the
window. The sky was still lead-like and oppressive The woman closed her
eyelids and slowly turned to face the inside of the dining room. It was
in that moment, that she noticed something abandoned on the sofa. And when
she neared it, for seeing what it was, a tight knot formed in her stomach:
it was the shirt that Phoenix used to wear. She kept on gazing at it blankly.
She opened her hands and closed them in fists, but she made nothing else.
"Why don't you want to admit it?" Selene's voice make Arashi to bump. The
parakeet was standing on the table behind the blonde, "At least with yourself.
It doesn't matter if you don't want to admit it with the others, but at
least, you must do it with yourself". Arashi's expression turned extremely
hard,
"Yeah, I admit it" she spoke with grieved derision, "I admit that I've
been always right, that I've always known he was a betrayer", her voice
wasn't trembling, it was sharply and peremptory, though a bit weak. Selene
shook her head,
"You perfectly know what I mean" she said, "I know it, and you too".
"I warn you," Arashi gave her back on the parrot, "quit now".
"I can shut up" Selene went on, "But, can you shut your heart up, as well?
Why - for once - you don't admit your feelings? You love us... You love
Maiko, you love me and, over all the others, you love..."
The door opened
and Maiko entered. Selene break off and Arashi caught the occasion for
leaving the room. Maiko looked at Arashi with a vaguely irritated glance:
she hadn't forgiven her of driving Phoenix out, the harmony that had been
between them, had broken.

Usagi turned in
her bed and found herself, gazing the stone ceiling. She felt empty.
Two warm tears
ran down her cheeks, 'till they turned cold. The young woman sat up on
the sheets and, gently sweeping back her long blond hair, she decided that
it was time for getting up definitely.
She approached
the vanity table and, sitting down on the stool, she asked herself what
was her misdeed. What she had done of bad. And new tears joined the ones
already shed. In that moment, the mirror seamed to darken. Usagi concentrated
her attention on her reflection. It looked nomore her image, but...
The bronze door
of her room, suddenly bursted open, going to bang against the stone wall,
with a dumb sound of struck bell. Usagi bolted on the stool,
"Good morning mommy!!" the blond Chibi-Usa shouted, flying between the
woman's arms. Serenity smiled against her will, for the amazing enter of
the child. "Come mommy, come having breakfast! Hurry!!" and, grabbed the
woman's hand, Chibi-Usa began to drag her towards the door. Giggling, Usagi
let the kid to bring her away, forgetting the strange shadow seen in the
mirror...
With a deep bow,
the two menservants, opened before Usagi the double door of the dining
room and an breathtaking sight welcomed Serenity: the room was almost taken
by a huge appareled table, decorated by candles and bouquet of stone flower.
"But..." Usagi walked amazed between the lines of servants which bowed
to her passage, accompanied by Chibi-Usa's satisfied giggles, "What?"
"My best wishes for a joyful birthday, Serenity" said a voice. The last
couple of servants moved aside revealing Actaeon presence at the bottom
of the dining room. With an amused smile, the prince slowly bowed before
Usagi, "Hoping you'd be able to forgive me, because preparations stole
me much time". Chibi-Usa ran to her father, while Usagi kept still, gazing
at him. "What's happening?" the man asked, loosing his smile.
For all that
time he had... And she had accused him... She had told him all those awful
things... Usagi's eyes filled with tears once more.
"What's up, mommy? Aren't you happy?" Chibi-Usa asked with saddened voice,
Usagi replied back to her with a radiant smile,
"I am" she murmured, "Thank you. Everything is beautiful...".
She shifted her
blue irises on Actaeon's eyes: thank you, thank you, thank you - they looked
like saying, for all the words she couldn't say, and also - pardon me,
pardon me, pardon me... And then... Then, another thing which, confused
and shapeless, was tossing inside her heart and which made her to suffer
and to be happy, all at once.
Prince Actaeon
wrinkled his lips in a relieved smile. He neared the young woman, passed
his arm around her waist and,
"Wait to see our gift for you" he whispered.
Usagi's heart
bumped in her chest.
*Actaeon,
I... I...*
With extreme
kindness, the prince pushed her towards the exit of the dining room. The
two, followed by the blond small child, gradually vanished into darkness.
Myhannan stared
at the leaving trio with disgusted expression,
"Serenity" he said under his breath, "You are our ruin...". A feminine
featured shadow appeared behind his shoulders,
"You aren't far-sighted" it murmured, "I believe instead, that the Princess
will be our key for achieving the aim" hissed.
Myhannan gave
it, a glance beyond his shoulders,
"Are you sure, Sister?" he asked. The figure nodded silently.

Mamoru moaned...
The pain... The
pain was unbearable... Was happening to him?
The mind of the
young man dimmed: he had no-more memories, he had nothing! Staggering,
he neared the door of his own jail. The corridor was desert, there it were
nomore sentries before his door.
A fierce twinge
in his forehead, made him to fall forward, sending his face to smash against
the wall.
"Usagi" he groaned, with the face twisted into mask of pain.

Tokyo, Year 199X **
Megimi was fiddling
with the Stone Key, which had made her and her mates to travel around Time.
She raised her
eyes on her friends: Yuki and Hayasi, who were sending back to her the
same empty and vaguely cruel look, and then, Nadakai, who was staring at
her with a resentful expression.
"Spoke" Hayasi said, "What His Majesty has told us to do?",
"Prince Actaeon has been so magnanimous to grant us a second chance" Megimi
began quietly, "This time we MUST succeed, so that Endymion won't be anymore
a block on His Majesty's way".
"What do you mean?" Nadakai crossed her arms, "Explain yourself".
All of a sudden,
Megimi grabbed the Stone Key and squeezed it in her hand,
"When... When Chiba Mamoru was only a child, his parents died in a car
crash. A car crash in which, him too risked his life". Yuki nodded,
"No wonder if the child too will die, *this* time...",
"Precisely" Megimi replied coldly.
"What?!" Nadakai exploded, gaping at her three mates as she was seeing
them for the very first time, "You ALL went OUT of MIND??".
The black key
dangled down Megimi's hand,
"This is an order of His Majesty".
"I DON'T CARE!" the brown-haired girl replied, "I won't ever do such a
thing!".
"So... You're refusing to" Yuki raised an eye-bow,
"YEAH! And you too should do it! It's despicable to kill a kid, a creature
that can't defend himself! It's DESPICABLE! We have never killed 'till
this moment. Why now yes, instead?" Nadakai roared, "Hayasi!" she turned
to her heart-friend, "You say nothing?!?"
The three remaining
Moon Senshi had no reactions, they kept standing before Nadakai in silence.
"Tsukinomaho Nadakai" thundered a voice, coming from behind the three girls
and a fearful black shadow, took shape. "Sailor Magicmoon, you can't escape
the Black Sun's will...".
Nadakai moved
a step back, scared to death by that presence. Who, what was that... thing?
In a moment,
also her eyes lost the natural light and turned vacuous.
"A... Sailor senshi... doesn't kill... a child..." her conscience had a
last desperate attempt to escape that shadow that was filling also her
mind, "A... Sailor..."

"You are Sailor Moon's daughter" Yaten said, "You can use your power for
helping us".
Chibi-Usa shot
him a disconcerted glance, thinking to the Silver Crystal vanishing into
her hands. Seiya understood that, as usual, Yaten had talked too much.
"What's the matter with you?" he asked with warmth to the girl. Chibi-Usa
waited a moment before replying gloomily,
"I... I have no powers..."
The three youths
exchanged a puzzled look,
"And that blast of energy...?" Taiki asked,
"You really want make us to believe, that it hasn't been you?" Yaten asked
with impatience in his voice. Chibi-Usa suddenly buried her face into Kakyuu's
breast,
"I've NO POWERS!" she shouted, "NO POWERS!!".
Seiya sighed.
It was clear that the girl was still frightened. To press her now, wouldn't
be of any help.

** Tokyo, Year 200X **
"You can look, now" Actaeon's voice said.
Serenity lifted
her eyelids and, for a moment, she had to close them again.
The sunlight!
It has been sunlight! She urged her eyelids to reopen and gasped: she was
in a Garden! A real Garden! The grass was green and true, not the gray
and stony one. Usagi bowed to grasp it: it was soft and alive, alive like
the flowers who bloomed all around her, like the trees, like the impalpable
mist hanged between the branches.
"Do you like it, mom?" the blond Chibi-Usa asked with a smile. Usagi moved
her eyes from her small face and her sight embraced everything,
"It's for me?" Usagi asked with weak voice. Actaeon nodded and kept gazing
his princess, to walk slowly towards the small wood, as she couldn't believe
that all was seeing was real. Chibi-Usa outstripped her mother in the race
and, tearing her silk gown with an amused giggle, invited her to the game.
The Prince stood
on his place, staring at both: Serenity was an angel in his white dress,
she was simply...
"... beautiful..."
Serenity was
exactly like the first time he had seen her... How many centuries before?
How many millenniums? The Eternity is an unbearable weight, if you have
to live it all alone.
Ha had always
loved her. He had always waited for her. But he had always simply looked
at her, from afar. Exactly like in that moment. Actaeon half closed his
eyes.
*I'd give you everything you wish. Just tell me that you'll stay with
me forever*.
"There's also a pond!" Usagi's voice exclaimed happily in that moment.
Actaeon slowly walked towards his beloved's voice, trough the wood, to
the small rounded poll.
"Come and play with us!" the young woman addressed him,
"Yesss, daddy!" Chibi-Usa yelled, "COME!" she squealed, kicking the water
and jumping between the splashes. But Actaeon remained on the poll's side.
All of a sudden, the child sprang towards the man, rounded him and then
pushed him into the water.
Usagi replied
to the prince's disconcerted expression with a giggle. With a mad laughter,
the kid disappeared between trees and bushes. Actaeon stood up, turned
around for reproaching the girl, but even before his lips could open, Usagi's
index came to close them.
"Please, don't get angry for this" the woman murmured with a wide smile.
The right hand of the man, slowly flew to reach Usagi's one and lovely
squeezed it.
"I love you" those words had come out of Serenity's lips. Amazingly, that
thing that she was feeling inside of her, had finally come out. Spontaneously.
Surprising both
two.

** Tokyo, Year 199X **
Sailor Silvermoon
lifted her Stone Time Key to the sky dome,
"Father Chronos!" she invoked. To that call, dark clouds went gathering
over the city of Tokyo with unnatural velocity. Soon, the blue sky turned
totally lead colored.
*
Yaten raised his
eyes to the sky...
"What a hell of weather" he mumbled, "A minute before the sun is shining
and minute later...". Kakyuu observed with worry the darkening haven,
"It's strange, don't you think?" Taiki spoke. Seiya shivered: he had a
bad feeling.
*
"Open your doors! Give us the might for traveling trough Time!" an icy wind raised all of a sudden, and began to dance widely all around the four senshi reunited in a circle. The small gem chastened into the Stone Key glowed, releasing a beam of light that headed upwards, drawing a white line onto the gray sky. In the space of few seconds, the beam grow becoming a column of pulsating energy.
*
"Look that!" shouted Kakyuu. The four champions of Kinmokusei looked each other simultaneously.
*
Lowering the hand
that was holding the magic item, Megimi turned to look Yuki, Hayasi and
Nadakai.
"Come on" she incited them. Shinymoon moved a step towards the column first.
"Star Serious... LASER!" screamed a voice and pale blue beam cut the way
to the senshi in dark-red, who was forced to stop over her place.
"Sailor Starlights!" Magicmoon grunted, darting her eyes all around,
"Hurry, enter the ray!" Megimi urged, "Don't waste precious time!".
"You'll go NO where!" Sailor Starmaker yelled, slinging over Goldmoon and
knocking her down. The remaining Starlights - with Sailor Fireball, holding
Chibi-Usa in her arms - appeared all around the Moon Senshi.
"Bashing..." Magicmoon got ready,
"Star Sensitive..." Starhealer posed,
"REMORSE!"
"INFERNO!!" the two contrasting energies exploded one on the other.
Shielding her
eyes, Sailor Silvermoon shot a glance to the helpless Fireball,
"DESTRUCTIVE CURSE!!!" she decided suddenly, pointing her hands towards
Kakyuu.
"NO!" the three Starlights exclaimed almost at the unison, "PRINCESS!".
The silver spheres
of energy quickly devoured the space between Megimi and Kakyuu. The red-haired
woman gave instintively her back on the incoming blast, shielding the scared
child in her lap.
"STAR SERIOUS LASER!"
"STAR SENSITIVE INFERNO!"
"STAR GENTLE UTERUS!"
The triple attacks
of stellar energy gathered on Silvermoon's, annihilating it at the instant,
in a colored boom. Taking advantage of that distraction from the Starlights,
the Moon Senshi disappeared quickly into the beam of light, that faded
off in a dull blaze.
"O-Hime-sama!" Yaten rushed over the princess, who had fell on her knees.
"Are you two alright?" Starhealer asked with a worried look. Kakyuu nodded
silently, looking up to her guardian with a smile of gratutide.
"Get ready to pay for this too" Taiki murmured, pulling out her own Time
Key. "Follow them..." she ordered panting. The pink light kindled...
