Church Groups

Music Ministry - The music ministry consists of adult choir, children choir, and hand chime choir. The members of these choirs assist at Sunday Liturgy and on special occasions. This group if frequently augmented by various musicians from the parish. These include: Trumpet - Andrew Genna, Flute - Erica Ewing, Guitars - Francis Balagtas, Matt Mondier, and Nicholas Weisenfels. Organ and Piano - Evan Duvall and Bruce Hoffsommer. The choirs practice on Wednesday evenings.

Parish Religious Education - This consists of two large programs, one for youth, and one for adults. C.C.D. classes meet on Wednesday nights during the school year at 7:00 p.m. Over 200 children are presently attending these classes. R.C.I.A. (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) meets on Monday nights during the school year at 7:00 p.m.

Altar Society - The Altar Society meets every second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. The members assist the parish by caring for sanctuary decorations, liturgy committee, charitable needs, parish pot-luck dinners, and religious education programs for their members. They also provide refreshments for the R.C.I.A. program.

20 - 40 Group - This group of young married couples comes together regularly for social activities and to help promote programs for youth.

40 plus Group - This group comes together on the first Thursday of each month for fellowship, spiritual activities, and games. They also sing as a choir on the last Saturday of each month at the 4:00 p.m. mass.

Charismatic Prayer Group - The members meet every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The meeting consists of songs of praise, quiet prayer, reflection on scripture, intercessory prayer, and announcements. Everyone is welcome.

The Knights of Columbus - While not strictly a parish organization, the K of C assists St. Michael's Parish by helping with all parish functions, both religious and recreational as well as providing their members with fraternal and spiritual programs. They also are active in community service.
