Can Muhammad Guide People To Become Muslims?

In shop a poster proclaimed: " My God, God of my Muhammad is there anyone like Muhammad? " The poster written in Urdu poetically stated how the writer had found guidance through Muhammad the Messenger of God, as before this he was blind.

Yes, Allah is indeed my God, your God and the God of Muhammad, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and all the messengers and of all the creations of the heavens and the earth. But is there anyone like Muhammad? The answer to this question is given by God in the Quran.

Firstly in sura AI-Kahf 18.110 where Muhammad is Commanded to say: "I am no more than a human being like you." and also in sura Ali-Imran 3.144: "Muhammad is no more than a messengers like the messengers before him." So it is quite clear that there are others like Muhammad.

God says in the Quran Sura 37 verses 69-71 that many people blindly follow their parents who are astray and that many generations have strayed in the same way. But can Muhammad guide these 'blind' people. Again God gives the answer in the Quran. Once in Sura 27.81 and next in Sura 30:53. He says "...Nor can you (Muhammad) guide the blind out of their straying. You can only be heard by those who believe in our revelations, and decide to become submitters."

So it obvious that we have to make a conscious decision to believe in God's revelations in order to be guided. Muhammad cannot help us- If we read Sura 28.56 we will realise that Muhammad cannot even guide the ones close to him. The Quran tells Muhammad in no uncertain terms that "You (Muhammad) cannot guide those who you love. (and) God is the one who guides..." Also in verse 72:21 Muhammad is commanded to Say. "I possess no power to harm you, nor to guide you."
