Hadith Sillih

The following have been extracted from the Sahih al Bukhari, Volume 8. Refer to the translation by Dr Muhamad Muhsin Khan, Islamic University, Medina al Munawarra (Publisher: Kitab Bhavan, Delhi - India).

Throwing Stones at the Prophet's House

Narrated Zaid bin Thabit, "Allah's Messenger made a small room (with a palm leaf mat). Allah's Messenger came out (of his house) and prayed in it. Some men came and joined him in his prayer. Then again the next night they came for the prayer but Allah's Messenger delayed and did not come out to them. So they raised their voices and knocked on the door with small stones (to draw his attention). He came out to them in a state of anger, saying "You are still insisting (on your deed i.e. tarawih prayer in the mosque) that I thought that this prayer (tarawih) might become obligatory on you. So you people, offer this prayer at your homes, for the best prayer of a person is the one he offers at home, except the compulsory /congregational) prayer". Vol. 8, hadith no.134

There is no evidence even in the sahih Bukhari that the Prophet performed the so called tarawih prayer during the month of Ramadan, and this false hadith from Bukhari indicates that the prophet was angry at people who wanted to pray tarawih at night. It is ridiculous that the Prophet of Islam needs to be called out of his house by the throwing of stones against his door.

God and the Messenger have told us,
"O you who believe, enter not the Prophet's houses, except when leave is given to you for a meal, and then not too early as to wait for its preparation. Bui when you are invited enter, and when you have taken your meal disperse without sitting around for any hadith ("wa laa musta niseena li hadeethin"). Verily such behaviour annoys the Prophet, and he is shy of asking you (to go). Allah is not shy of telling you the truth.." Surah 33:53

Hence the sahabah are not the sort to annoy the Prophet by throwing stones on his door and waiting around for him to give them a hadith about tarawih prayers.

This is another false hadith written down by Bukhari. It is more likely that this ridiculous hadith by Bukhari is a Persian village tale (Bukhari was a Persian who did not know Arabic) which Bukhari felt obliged to write down as hadith.

Resurrection of Sweaty Bodies

Narrated Abu Hurairah, "Allah's Messenger said, "The people will sweat so profusely on the Day of Resurrection that their sweat will sink seventy cubits into the earth, and it will rise up, 'till it reaches the people's mouth and ears"." Volume 8, hadith no. 39

Even Muhammad Ali the boxer only lost two pounds in sweat after a strenuous workout. Unless of course this is spiritual sweat, not the real stuff. But do spirits sweat? The resurrection is in the spirit,

"On that day shall stand the spirits ("yagoomu roohu") and the angels in rows, none shall speak except him whom the Most Beneficent allows, and he will speak what is right" Surah 78:38.

No "sweating up to the ears" mentioned here. Again this silly hadith is a Persian village tale which Bukhari has written down as the sayings of the Prophet.
