I happened to come across the Signs magazine issue. In the letter to the editor by the International Community of Submitters, Masjid Tucson, U.S.A., the so-called submitters have summed up twelve points as "truth" from the Quran. As an independent researcher of the Quran, I find all but one of the twelve points are simply anti-Quranic in essence. While describing the messengership as a very sensitive issue to orthodox Muslims, the ICS members are under confusion regarding prophets and messengers. This is evident in their quoting of the verse 40:34 seeking support to say that the prophet Muhammad is only a final prophet and not a final messenger.

Please refer to the article (Signs issue 4) by Dr Riffat Hassan on "A crooked rib". I truly agree with her that women were always being discriminated against.

But I would also say that men, slightly superior than women. This is testimony from God in the Quran itself.

"God directs you as regards your children. To the male apportion equal to that of two females..."4:11 Men are protectors and maintainers of women because God has given the one more than the other and they support them from their means.... 4:34

I wonder why Dr Riffat left out these two verses.

Men, in terms of physique and responsibility are greater than women. Even the `Jihad' is a burden left to men, not to women.

I do not condemn women. Women are superior in some things while men are superior in certain others.

If God says man are more superior than women, then the women should accept this. It is a test for women whether or not they are able to accept it is another matter.

I scan your magazine with much interest especially the topic on "The Indian File". I am quite surprised that the daily prayers for a Muslim to perform are three, not five.

Do you have any proof to justify the claims made by the Moulavi or any book like "Namaskaram" for me to ponder and reflect. I am seeking the truth about Islam. I hope you will be kind enough to send the book "Namaskaram - How, When, Why" written by the Moulavi. Thank you very much for your magazine. May God's blessing be upon you. Last, but not least, keep up with your work.

I believe that copies of my book regarding Rashad Khalifa's `discovery' of the number nineteen are still being circulated in the United Kingdom.

I would like to clarify my stand On the Issue Of "19" in the Quran.

I have totally abandoned the theory and have discontinued all literature, audio and videotapes pertaining to it.

I had also asked Dr Rashad Khalifa to discontinue selling my books and tapes on the subject.

I do not hold onto the theory anymore and anyone who claims that I have anything to do with the theory of 19 in the Quran henceforth is a deceit and a liar.

May God lead us from the realm of theories about the Quran to the reality of the practice of its precepts and enunciation's.

I refer to your recent issue wherein you have written about Dr. Rashad Khalifa. I am informed that Dr Rashad Khalifa's real name is Rashad Abdel Haleem and not Rashad Khalifa. If this were true it has serious implications for many of Dr Rashad's claims.

Since this magazine is now going to all corners of the world, I hope those among Dr Rashad's friends and relatives who were closest to him will have a copy of his birth certificate or a school leaving certificate which they can send to this magazine. This will easily put such claims to rest.

A passport or driving license may not be feasible because people can change their names, especially when moving to another country.

I hope this is not construed as an attempt to accept or reject Dr. Rashad's claims but it is important that we "do not accept those things which you cannot verify" - Quran. Sura 17:36.
