Ranma 1/2 Ending Theme Collection
Son May Serial # SM-193

I don't like Ranma 1/2 as much as I used to.  However, I'll always love the music, because that was the first anime music I ever heard.  In all honesty, I thought I was buying the Opening Theme Collection when I bought this CD.  Oh well.

Track 1: Platonic Tsuranuite sung by Sakagami Kaori- I don't like this one as much as I used to.  It's sort of cool sounding, and I love the animation that goes with it, but it just doesn't sound as good once you hear the other endings.  It fits the general rule of the first ending theme never being the best.

Track 2: Equal Romance sung by CoCo- When I heard the opening of this song I really didn't think I was going to enjoy it very much.  But you know what they say about first impressions.  This song is easy to hum along with.  I love all the English in it.  However, the English version of this song... well, that's another story.

Track 3: Don't Mind Lay Lay Boy sung by Nishio Etsuko- The title of this one is weird.  What on God's green earth is a Lay Lay boy?  Do they sell potato chips?  It's got a weird sort of foot-tapping melody.  I especially like the part where she goes "Wo Ai Ni".  This song is fun, but I'm guessing it could cause sugar highs if listened to on repeat play for 24 hours.

Track 4: Lambada Ranma sung by the cast- This song is cute.  I often hear myself trying to sing it when I'm bored at school.  Sometimes my buddies join in.   It's an addictive song, and a refreshing change for those of us who've only seen the Ranma dub.  I love hearing all the original characters' voices.  Now I have absolute proof that one of the girls in my class is actually Shampoo.

Track 5: Present sung by Tokyo Shounen- This song sounds incredibly 50's to me.  It's a pretty-sounding song, I just don't like it that much.  Hard to explain, I just have bizarre taste.  It is cute when the singers go "my heart" during the chorus.  Or at least, that's what it sounds like they're singing.

Track 6: Friends sung by YAWMIN- This song is so kawaii! So is the animation that goes with it.  That's really it.  It's a fantastic song, and it often gets glued into my head until I get home and play the CD.  This is sung by the same person who sang the OAV opening.  I love that song too.

Track 7: Hinageshi sung by Nakajima Michiyo-  The person  who sings this has a voice that reminds me of Hisakawa Aya's voice as Yohko.  That's why I like this song.  The melody is sort of haunting.  It's scary almost, in that Vampire Princess Miyu sort of way.

Track 8: Positive sung by Morikawa Miho- I'm starting to get into this song.  It's pretty groovy.  Usually I don't like songs that are so "Positive", but anime music is really starting to expand my taste.

Track 9: Niji to Taiyo no Oka sung by Piyo Piyo- This is my favorite track.  I love the animation for this song, I love the song, I think the instruments are beautiful... I could go on and on.  I especially like the parts with "la lalala la la".  I think it's cute.  I'm not going to bore you with every single reason I like this track.
