The Night's Fairie Tale

Icecream

A fairie tale of enchanting proportions,
Of swirling rainbow-like colors,
Caressing emotions,
Of you and me
Adrift in a sweet chocolaty sea,
In a scooped out banana floating endlesssly,
Of heartfelt devotions
And a warm promised breeze.

Where you and I
Share with never a care,
But only feed on our new found heart's affair,
Of marshmellow sails
That blow wild with the wind,
You and I promising to always be friends.

Where icebergs of whipped creme
Float lazily by,
And only bits of caramel cascade from the sky,
Coating us with sweet tranquility
Melting in your mouth so sensuously,
Our spirit's holding on
With such certainty.

No heartache, no pain,
No doubt anywhere,
Just a love we two will always share.
And every now and then
We have to dodge,
A scarlet cherry,
Perhaps even an exotic fudge
Bobbing up and down precariously.
While you and me
Drift on an open chocolatey sea,
Basking in the love
We found so spiritually.

For we can go
Anywhere we wish,
Anywhere our heart's do please,
For our love rolls on
Even in our dreams,
Ebbing and flowing
With destiny showing,
Our two spirit's
Were always meant to be,
Just you and I
On this fantasies belief.

But too soon reality
Breaks through the dawn,
And morning's truth hits me,
We no longer belong,
Only in my dreams
Does our love live on.

Only in my thoughts
Do you carry me away,
To laugh and giggle
And teasingly play,
Only in the night
Does your spirit entertain,
Showering me mystically
With love's sweet melodic refrain.
