- Civil Engg Dept
- Undertakes testing and consultancy works for Projects in Madurai.
Some of the works undertaken are Plate Load Test, Analysis of Water, Sewage and Industrial wastes,
Soil Exploration. It also plans to design and construct various types of Oxidation process
systems. It has been recognised for pursuing Ph.D in Degree
by Madurai Kamaraj University.
- Electrical & Electronics Engg Dept
- Works in close Co-operation with the Local Industries for Testing of
transformer oil samples, transformers and machines , in addition to Meter-testing and Electrical Motor Rewinding.
It has also taken up a project funded by the DRDO Lab, Hyderabad and has been recognised for pursuing Ph.D in Degree
by Madurai Kamaraj University.
- Electronics & Communication Engg Dept
- Offers research programmes in Microwave Electronics, Medical electronics, Mobile Communication,
SAW Devices, Remote Sensing, Fiber Optics & Neural Networks. It has taken up projects with DRDO Hyderabad &
AICTE New Delhi. It has been recognised for pursuing Ph.D in Degree
by Madurai Kamaraj University.
- Computer Science & Engg Dept
- Is fully equipped to meet the needs of B.E. and MCA students of this College.
The Computer center is open to all the students of the College.With the newly Installed Multimedia and Client Server Lab,
the students are taking up projects for college internally as well as outside. The students of this dept are currently
involved in developing a Multimedia Software about the College. The department has been recognised for pursuing Ph.D in Degree
by Madurai Kamaraj University.
- Mechanical Engg Dept
- Has taken up a number of projects with the DRDO Lab Hyderabad. Moreover , it maintains close contacts with the
local Industries and its students take up projects for Industries In and around Madurai.
- Physics Dept
- Is equipped with specialised like Ultrasonic Diffraction apparatusLaser, Fibre Optics and Communication experiment
kit, Epidiascope Holographic Kit, apart from regular class work equipments. The department has been recognised for pursuing Ph.D in Degree
by Madurai Kamaraj University .
- Chemistry Dept
- Is well equipped to carry out chemical analysis of water, fuels, lubricants. Adequate facilities are also available for
research work on Ion Exchange resins and Reaction Kinetics. The department has been recognised for pursuing Ph.D in Degree by Madurai
Kamaraj University .
- Library
- The College Library is a repositary of nearly 60,000 books providing the latest journals, magazines
, CD Roms, and Project reports, IEEE Transactions on various streams ranging from Computers to Structures. Apart from this , every
department also has its own Dept Library .
- Hostels
- The College and the Hostel buildings are spread out over a total area of about 60 hectares. The Men's hostel consists of four
separate residential blocks containing 232 rooms, all fully furnished. The four hostels accomodate about 500 students. The Womens hostel
located very near to the college consists of five blocks accomodating around
250 students.
