Digimon: Season 1

In Digimon: Season 1, seven kids from a summer camp are pulled into another world, the Digital World! The digital world is made up of all the computer data of the real world and is inhabited by Digimon, or Digital Monsters. Each kid is teamed up with a digimon partner, and they start off on their journey to find out how and why they got there. Along the way, they had to fight many evil digimon. That was when they realized that their digimon could Digivolve into bigger and more powerful digimon, although only during a dangerous situation and it required a lot of energy, so they had to eat and rest before and after digivolving. Their Digivices, strange handheld machines that appeared when they first arrived in the digital world, helped with the digivolution process. Later, as they had to fight more powerful evil digimon, they found that they could digivolve twice for even more power. Thus they could go from the Rookie level, digivolve to the Champion level, and now again to the Ultimate level. This required them to be acting in accordance with whatever their special quality was. For example, the Crest of Courage meant that the person had to be couragous for his digimon to be able to reach Ultimate. Soon, even Ultimates weren't strong enough, and more power was needed, so two digimon were chosen by an ancient prophesy to recieve more power, and be able to reach the Mega level. After many hard battles, self-doubt and soul searching, they finally realized deep down that they were a team, unlocking the true powers of their character traits, defeating the creator of all evil digimon, once and for all.
