Digimon: Season 2
Digimon: Season 2

Digimon: Season 2 takes place a couple of years after the Digi-Destined in season 1 defeated Apoclomon, the ultimate evil in the Digital World, or Digiworld. Strange things are happening in the digiworld. A new evil has arose, a young boy who has proclaimed himself the "Digimon Emperor" has started taking digimon captive, turnig them into his slaves. He has also built several Control Spires, which prevent digimon from digivolving and also sends out power to the Dark Rings, which are rings the digimon emperor created to control digimon. 3 new digi-destined are called upon, along with 2 from season 1. These new digi-destined are given the ability to Armor-Digivolve by using the power of Digi-Eggs that lay scattered around the digital world. The digivices have also been upgraded into D-3's, which have the power to open gates to the digiworld from any computer, so the digi-destined can go there whenever they want to fight the digimon emperor. At first their mission is to destroy the control spires in each area, freeing the area from the digimon emperor's control. After some time, a great battle occurs, with a powerful digimon that the digimon emperor made out of parts from other digimon. When this monstosity is defeated, Ken, the "Digimon Emperor" realizes that digimon aren't just computer data in a video game, they are living creatures, and he has been causing real pain to them. The enormity of what he has done makes him extremely depressed for a while, but he eventually joins the digi-destined to help them face a new threat. A strange lady who is actually a digimon named Arukenimon is turning control spires into evil digimon and sending them after the digi-destined. This is when they discover a new power: DNA-Digivolving. Since none of them can reach the Ultimate level, because the original digi-destined used that power to seal the digital world from Apocolomon, DNA-Digivolving allows two digimon to combine, merging the best parts of one with the other, to create a digimon much like an Ultimate. Soon, Arukenimon and her partner Mummymon, create a super-powered evil digimon out of 100 control spires. This digimon is so powerful that she can't control it, and Black War-Greymon goes off on his own, searching for a purpose in his life. Soon, he decides to destroy the Destiny Stones, which are stones that keep the balance in the digital world. If they are destroyed, the real world, the digiworld, and many other worlds will be plunged into total darkness. After many fights, Black War-Greymon realizes that fighting is not always the answer, and stops his violent rampage. Meanwhile, Ken discovers that he was being controlled while he was the digimon emperor by a Dark Spore. These dark spores make a person evil, strong, and very smart. Mr. Owikawa, the person who devised the spores, is also the one who created Arukenimon and Mummymon by sending his DNA into the digital world. Black War-Greymon tries to kill him but is stopped by the digi-destined, who need him alive to take the dark spores out of a new bunch of children. Davis and Ken have gotten more power for their digimon and can reach the Mega level while DNA-Digivolved. This proves to be a match for Black War-Greymon, and he is defeated. Near the end, they discover that Owikawa has been under the control of Myotismon, a powerful evil digimon thought to be defeated in season 1. After a long fight that required all the digi-destined to do some soul-seatching (just like in the final battle in Season 1), Myotismon is defeated for good by the combined power of the digi-destined from all over the world. And with that, the threat to the digital world is gone forever. Or is it..........
