Digimon: Season 3

Digimon: Season 3 has only recently started, so I don't know all of what is going to happen yet. I will update this as the series progresses. This season of Digimon takes us to a world were everything that has happened in Digimon so far has only been a T.V. show. People play the Digimon card game, computer game, and toys believing that Digimon is just fiction. But it's not. One day, while playing the Digimon card game, Takato found the Blue Card. This mysterious card transformed his card reader into a digivice (new model, the D-Power) and brought a digimon he'd drawn to life. And so, Takato became a Digimon Tamer. Digimon occasionaly Bio-Emerge from the Digiworld, and tamers must destroy and absorb their data to prevent them from infecting anything or causing a disruption. Digimon can also be Digi-Modified by using cards from the card game. This allows their power or some other aspect of them to be increased without digivolving. For example, the Speed Card makes a digimon very fast. The Hyper-Wing card creates wings on the digimon, allowing them to fly, and so on. Digivolving is very complicated and cool looking, and requires a small stray digimon named Calumon to be around.
