A-5 with Cyclone v.s. Model 98 with 12volt Revolution Hopper with JT Speed Collar
In an attempt to quell the growing "The Cyclone Feeder is too Big" movement Here are some pictures that I've taken. I know that the JT Speed Collar does add some size to the 12volt Revy, but just over look the Collar and look as the size difference on just the clear Revy. Ignore the Black Speed Collar.
This Picture shows my old Model 98 with the Revy pointed at my A-5 with the
cyclone with the bolts lined up. Notice how much taller the Revy is.
It's a full inch and a half taller than the cyclone on the A-5. Also look
at the size. The ball container is about the same size, but with the
electronics and the battery case, the Revy is much larger than the
Cyclone. Just ignore the JT Speed Collar.
This picture shows the markers pointing in the same direction again with the
bolts lined up . Again, which looks bigger?
This picture is really telling. We're looking head on into the bolt of
both markers. Look at the height difference between the two hoppers.
The cyclone does stick out a little further (about and inch or so) than the revy
does.
This picture shows both markers from behind, and gives a good real idea of the
true size difference. Again, the JT Speed Collar makes the Revy look much
taller, but if you imagine the bright spot in the middle of the Speed Collar as
the top of the Revy, you'll get a pretty good idea of how tall the revy is in
this picture.
This picture show the two markers with a ruler set at the top of the 98
Body. Both markers are lined up to so that the bolts are lined up.
Here, you can see that the A-5's Hopper sets at a height of slightly better than
5 inches. The Revy (without the speed collar) sits at just about 7
inches. With the speed collar, it sits at 9 inches.
Here you see that the Cyclone Feed sticks out on the A-5 at about 2.75
inches. This is measured from the center line of the marker. The
hopper body itself set out to about 3.25 inches (not seen in picture)
Here, you see the Model 98 measured from the center line. The Elbow sticks
out to 1.5 inches (2inches if you count the pinch bolt) from the center line and
the hopper itself sticks out to 3 inches.
Overall, the A-5 Cyclone adds about .75 inches to the head on profile of the marker in width, but reduces the height of the marker by at least 2 inches. So, in all actuality, the A-5 hopper profile is 1.25 inches SMALLER than a Model 98 with a 12volt Revolution Hopper.
You're welcome.
