From the theme of Our Wedding Site, I bet you could guess our colors will be red, black, and white.  I think this is a classy combination of colors and will give our frugal wedding the touch we desire.

We will be getting married at our home on October 16, 1999 at 5 o'clock in the afternoon.  We have a beautiful Victorian style home built in 1938.  The yard is huge and will easily accommodate 50-100 guests.   We have been diligently working on the yard and planting grass.....yes, we are crazy to have a grass yard in Tucson, Arizona, however, a rock garden and Saguaros would just not do this house justice!  We  have been growing our own "archway" since February when we became engaged.  I purchased the arch at Michael's Craft Store for $12 and we are growing the ivy around it.  This way, we can always have our wedding archway no matter where we go.  Most of the outdoor decorations will be white twinkle lights, white tulle, and bows that I am making myself.

Our wedding attire is a bit "unconventional."  We all agreed, "Who the heck wants to be in a stuffy tuxedo and huge cumbersome dress all night long?" So we are keeping it elegant but simple so we can have fun at the reception too.

My dress is a white "bridesmaids" dress I found on clearance for  $60. It has a "tiny" bit of a train as it scoops the floor in the back.  Here is a sneak peek at The Dress.

I purchased a clear hair comb for .38 cents at a local beauty supply and some pearl strands and white tulle at Michael's Craft Store for $7.94.  I will be making my own veil.   Here is a sneak peek at The Veil.

Tim and my boys, Mike and Riley, will be wearing black slacks, white shirts, and red ties.

The flowers will be another "fun" project for me!  I am ordering red roses and greenery from Fresh Roses.com and doing the flowers myself.  Tim and the boys will have a boutonniere and my bouquet will consist of 3 red roses hand tied with white tulle and red and black ribbon.   Mike and Riley will each hand me a rose before they walk me down the aisle, and once at the alter, Tim will give me third one.  Again, a bit "unconventional" but the symbolism to me says a lot.
