A Body Full Of Rhythm

sung by Little Jerry (Jerry Nelson)
and The Monotones (Christopher Cerf, Richard Hunt and Jeff Moss)

(An Anything Muppet is sitting at a table snoring, then Rockin' Richard comes up and starts thumping his chest, followed by Big Jeffy with the hiccups, then Little Chrissy with the sneezes and a fourth unknown Monotone with coughing. The symptoms are done in musical rhythm, then real music plays.)

Little Jerry: I got a body full of rhythm
Yeah my body's got the beat
I feel so full of the sound of rhythm you can hear me
Coming on down the street

Little Chrissy: Sometimes I sneeze (achoo!)

Anything Muppet: Sometimes I snore (snore...)

Big Jeffy: Sometimes I wheeze (wheeze)

Little Jerry: And what is more
My stomach growls when I'm hungry
I caught a cold, did you hear me cough?

Unknown Monotone: Cough!

Little Jerry: My breathing's good and strong and steady
And this old heart sets the rhythm off

(spoken)

Listen here!

(to Anything Muppet)

Give me some snores!

Anything Muppet: (Snoring)

Little Jerry (to Rockin' Richard): Beat me with a heart beat.

Rockin' Richard: (thump-thump-thump-thump)

Little Jerry (to Big Jeffy): Yeah, lay some hiccup on me.

Big Jeffy: Hiccup! Hiccup!

Little Jerry (to Little Chrissy): Sneeze my man.

Little Chrissy: Achoo! Achoo!

Little Jerry (to unknown Monotone): Gimme a cough.

Unknown Monotone: Cough!

Little Jerry: Good one. Dig the rhythm. Happening inside and out.

(The music starts again)

Little Jerry: I got a body full of rhythm
Yeah my body's got the beat
I feel so full of the sound of rhythm you can hear me
Coming on down the street

(singing scat)

(The Monotones and Anything Muppet continue giving their symptoms in musical rhythm)
