Letters vs. Numbers

L: Now, who's going to be on which team?

(All deciding on how to choose how to team the players up)

E: Uh, let's see. The one who has the longest hair gets on one side....

L: Uh, no, no, no. That won't work

5: How about One Potato?

L: Uh, no, no. I got it. I got it. Now, some of us... Some of us have letters on our sweater, and some us have numbers on our sweater. So why don't we have all the letters be on one team, and all the numbers be on the other team? How about that?

(All agreeing)

4: Good idea.

E: Uh, good idea. You start.

L: Ok. Well, let's see here. On my, uh, sweater here, I have the letter "L". That's a letter. So, uh, being it's a letter, I'll go on this team over here. [walks to the Letters team] Ok, who's next?

Letters vs. Numbers

4: Me next. Me next.

L: Ok, what have you got there?

4: I have a number 4.

Letters vs. Numbers

L: Number 4. Ok, it's a number, so you go on the other team over there.

4: Ok. Ok.

L: Ok. Next?

5: Me next. Me. Me.

L: What have you got?

5: I have a... A number.

Letters vs. Numbers

L: Number 5, right? Ok, you go on the other team over there. All right?

5: Ok.

T: Hey, how about me here, huh?

L: Ok, what have you got there?

T: I don't know.

L: That's a letter.

T: Is it?

L: Yeah, that's the letter "T", I think.

T: I'll be darned.

Letters vs. Numbers

L: Yeah, it's a "T", so you come on this team over here.

T: Ok. Ok.

L: Ok, next.

6: And how about me? What thing is this on my sweater?

Letters vs. Numbers

L: Well, I think that's a number. That's the number 6. Ok?

6: Oh, number 6.

L: Yeah. You go on the other team over there.

4: You're on our team.

6: Ok.

L: Who's next?

Herry: Yeah. I'm next.

L: Ok, what have you got there?

Herry: Uh, got a letter "V" on me.

Letters vs. Numbers

L: Ok, you got a letter "V", so you come on this team over here.

Herry: Right!

E: Ok, ok, ok, it's time for me. Where do I go?

L: Ok, what have you got there?

Letters vs. Numbers

E: I don't know. I think it's an "E".

L: Yeah. That's a letter. "E" is a letter.

E: It's a letter?

L: Letter "E".

E: Where do I go?

L: You come on this team over here.

E: Ok.

L: Ok, who's next?

3: Hey, uh, how about me here? What do I have?

Letters vs. Numbers

L: Ok, what's that? Looks like that's a....

3: Is that a number?

L: That's a number 3. Right. That's a number 3. So you go on the other team over there.

4: You're on our team.

L: Ok....

4: Wait a minute!

L: We all, uh, have the teams chosen up here now?

4: Hey! Wait a minute! Wait a minute!

6: Wait a second! Wait a second!

4: Hold on!

L: Uh, what's... What's the matter?

4: Well, look. All the big guys are over on that side and all the little guys are over on this side. That's not fair.

Letters vs. Numbers

L: Well, it all depends on what game we're playing.

4: Oh. What game are we playing?

L: Tug of war.

(E Chuckles)

6: Uh, how about, uh....

4: How about checkers?

E: No, no. How about Tackle-Football. Ha-ha-ha!

6: Uh, maybe, uh, Tiddlywinks?

E: Tiddlywinks!

[all chattering in agreement as end music plays]
