Film segments starring Paul Benedict as the Mad Painter
Stockard Channing sometimes appeared as well

The Mad Painter - 4

The Mad Painter is walking down the street while carrying the number ‘4’ and says “I’m gonna paint a ‘4’!”

A woman in her yellow raincoat, carrying a red beach umbrella looks up to see if it’s raining.

Mad Painter passes by her, but he misses the spot he’s going to paint a ‘4’ on.

He then paints a yellow ‘4’ on the woman’s umbrella.

He says “‘4’!” He wants her to look at a ‘4’ he painted on her umbrella and says “See? ‘4’!”

Then, water falls from the roof of the house and it doesn’t splash the ‘4’ away!

Mad Painter says “’4’!” again.

The Mad Painter - 6

The scene is the bakery.

The baker is preparing to decorate a cake while the Mad Painter sneaks in and says “I’m gonna paint a ‘6’!”

When the baker leaves, Mad Painter starts painting a ‘6’ on the cake by using cake icing.

Then, the baker returns and sees the cake that has a ‘6’ on it, so (SPLAT!) he slaps it on the Mad Painter’s face!

The Mad Painter - 8

The scene is the pool.

We see the bald-headed man reading a newspaper on the float in the pool.

The cover of his newspaper says “PAINTER STRIKES AGAIN”.

The Mad Painter (in his scuba-diver suit) says “I’m gonna paint an ‘8’!” in the pool.

Mad Painter paints a blue ‘8’ on the bald-headed man’s head.

Bald-headed man puts his hand on his head and it has an ‘8’ on it.

After Mad Painter says “Uh-oh!”, the bald-headed man starts chasing him in the pool and around the pool in fast-motion.

Mad Painter says “’8!’” before he runs away from the bald-headed man.

The Mad Painter - 11

The Mad Painter is in the doctor’s office and says “I’m gonna paint an ‘11’!”

The girl and her mother arrive for a check-up while Mad Painter is about to paint an ‘11’ but the nurse calls “Next!” to the girl and her mother.

The man that has a bandage on his head arrives while Mad Painter is waiting for himself to paint an ‘11’ privately by reading a magazine, but then the nurse calls “Next!” to the man that has a bandage on his head.

Finally, the Mad Painter paints a blue ‘11’ on the doctor’s door.

Suddenly, a janitor arrives and washes an ‘11’ away and the Mad Painter says, “My ‘11’ is gone!”

The nurse calls “Next!” to the Mad Painter!

He goes “Yikes!” as she grabs and pulls him into the doctor’s office.
