Pool B Round-Robin Game
Game 1
Elven lost an archer battle early and were forced to retreat back to their side of the river. Seeing the large amount of pus that the Wargamers' Regiment had, Tino decided to use his 16 ghols as a suicide trigger to remove the pus threat. The pus was gone, but so were Tino's ghols. Wargamers' Regiment invested a lot of time and effort (and 2 dwarves) into laying cocktails around the hill, but had no wights to set them off with. In the final battle, it was rather close; a lot of friendly fire from the Wargamers' archers wasn't enough to turn the battle in Elven's favour, their two wights emerging from the water to see the party was already over. Game 2
Wargamers' Regiment sent all of their warriors north, while Elven did a mixed warrior/thrall flank north. When the center armies collided, due to their overwhelming thrall advantage Wargamers' Regiment appeared to have the upper hand, but by the time both flanks returned to fight (and die) Elven had won, with a few scattered troops remaining. Despite their few warriors' valiant contesting efforts, Wargamers' Regiment was unable to hold any flags and was eliminated. Game 3
Both teams quickly grabbed four flags and defended a fifth. Elven's trow saw the advantage while the Wargamers' trow were off tagging their fourth flag, and decisively swooped down on the mixed berserker and warrior force, smiting them with great anger and furious retribution over their Game 1 defeat. Match Summary (films)
A closely-fought match, in which every game could have gone either way. The Wargamers' Regiment tended to use a lot of pus, which then turned against them or misfired. In hindsight, this may have been their downfall in the crucial second game. - Butcher
