Pool H Round-Robin Game
Game 1
The Queen's Own Thrall Regiment took advantage of outnumbering Watership down and cruised to a bloody, but successful win. The early game saw QTOR's ghols cut through the middle of the map, successfully huting all WD wights and some archers. Selecting additional wights payed dividends early when a WD thrall platoon was heavily wighted in the western water. Following this the surviving QOTR ghols were able to get substantial archers kills before they met their maker. With vengeance in their eyes the warrior rabbits of WD charged across the middle after QOTR's archers. Despite the assistance of ghols these warriors were cut down brutally by QOTR's warriors. Setting the stage for a victory for the Queen's Own Thrall Regiment (a sidenote is the nice wight push at the end of the game by QOTR). Game 2
This game was marred by being out of sync. In sharp contrast to the creep game both teams chose few, if any, wights. The western QOTR sent ghols to the SW, a token thrall force and a heavy flank to the north. WD opted to send ghols north, thrall and archers middle, and warriors south. After initial recon the QOTR recalled a decent amount of its north flanker force to the west mid flag. Smart use of ghols as a lure allowed some free hits on WD's middle thrall by QOTR archers. This damage was to play a crucial role in the latter stages of the game. The middle battle grew as both sides gradually threw in more and more troops into a meatgrinder, the end result being a win for QOTR. Due to the OOS nature of the game the scoring was that seen on the screen of WD. If you do see OOS at any time in a match..please replay it! (that way all controversy can be obliterated). Game 3
Both teams chose the standard 3/20/13 infantry mix. The northern QOTR chose to defend the NE flag with infatry while sending some 'zerks NW and 3 trow middle. WD sent a lone 'zerk S and a larger 'zerk platoon NW. This allowed the rabbits of Watership Down to have superior numbers in the middle. However, they failed to exploit this and QOTR managed to tag both flags 1 and 2. Indecisiveness of trow in the mid northeast cost WD crucial time and after a major battle in the NE (won by QOTR) the game became a mop-up victory for QOTR. Match Summary (films)
Lack of a teammate hurt WD, and this combined with some poor decisions led to a clean sweep by QOTR. Nevertheless, all these games were civil and both teams had chances to win this match. - Wintermute
