Who says tournament games can't be learning experience? In fact the question of "How do you do presets?" somehow makes its way into this game. In any case this battle on creep was marred by an out of sync message that started 2 minutes sinto the game. Both teams picked similar units with DS opting for a slightly more volatile army (by picking one more wight and a dwarf). Both AW and DS sent ghol packs in a flanking role and exchanged sporadic archer fire over the flag. Intense debate in the AW camp continues with regards to when to take the middle, in the meantime AW infantry became somewhat tenderized by the arrows of DS. Accoring to plan the AW charge begins with 90 seconds left and suprisingly high casualties are inflicted by DS. Just as it looks like a final repulsion of AW troops will be occurring not one but two wights emerge from the eastern water. The timing of these blasts and the early charge of AW manage to hand the win to Loser's army.

Dark Stalkers 57 9 win + 6 flags Win
Ancient Warriors 92 0   Loss

Game 2 started with the following ominous message from DS camp: "General mikey will be supervising the game from on top of the monitor...meow." Mikey seemed to be good luck as DS went on to a six flag victory. Both teams opted for few thrall and many archers with AW selecting two dwarves. Starting in the east, DS sends a juggernaught to the north while SW set up defensively in the midwest. The early game played along a them of "chase the ghol" with the needless death of a platoon of AW archers giving an early lead to DS. As an underwater thrall war waged in the northern waters AW decided to cross the bridge as DS flanked with the vast bulk of its army. However, AW was unable to form back up and was slowly gobbled by the more coherent DS juggernaught. A contributing factor to the defeat of AW on this day was friendly dwarf fire, and lots of it. The endgame also saw some confusion, as AW tried to suicide to salvage a point (seemingly unaware that elimination wins in desert lead to 9 enemy points).

Alas, this film was not available. We can only assume that the results of this battle were too traumatic for either team to remeber.
